Happy Retirement

Hello bloggers!  Starting with a piece of black card, cut the Butterfly Shaped Card die into the card randomly all over.  Try to get the die positioned as close as possible without any overlapping.  Next cover a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet and place the black die cut card on top of it.  Randomly sprinkle Polished Silk Glitter over the exposed adhesive areas.  I used Sea Green, Western Blue, Ice Blue, Canadian Blue and Lilac polished silk glitters.  Cut the Happy Retirement sentiment twice out of white card, stack them then glue them into place in the lower corner.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  9"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue, it was this sample I commented on during your new most recent launch that gave me the chance of being chosen to receive the most useful die I've ever been lucky enough to win, so thank you for your generosity and if my project using this expression die is as powerful as your sample I'll be happy.
Will be ordering a 'wacky wig' to be part of the wig family to make Lottie laugh now our daughter has lost most of her blonde long locks, should be so funny for her considering her grandad is 'short of hair' I'm going for a purple wig I think.
Love to all that visit today xxx

  14. Hi Sue. Gosh, that's a big card! I am sure we should be able to create a similar card using smaller butterfly dies. I do love the colours you have chosen which really pop against the black card.

  30. Fantastic technique and gorgeous card. I'm impressed with your placement of the butterfly die cuts as you stagger the cuts without overlapping them. Not so easy to do on a large scale. Loving the colors of the Polished Silk Glitter that you combined for the butterflies. Thank you for sharing. Hugs
