Winter Wishes

Hello all!  I started todays card by cutting the Cut Corner Squares into a multi layered white frame.  I then cut the Swirling Rays Frame out of white card.  I had some leftover Pixied Card from the Layered Snowflake and I used that as the backing for the Swirling Rays.  I added the frame over it with mounting foam.  Next I cut the oval die from the Ornate Oval Frame die set.  I added a white backing to it, then added mounting foam to raise it in the centre of the frame.  I cut the Bold Word Wishes out of the blue pixied card, shadowed it in black then added it to a strip of white vellum across the oval frame.  I stamped the word "winter" and cut it out with the tag, then added it above the "W" in wishes.  I cut two of the Bauble Branches in silver card and added them in opposite corners as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8"  in size.

There are still a couple of dies from the blog launch that have not been claimed.  Please scroll down to see if your name is on the list and email me to claim your winning die!  All for now, Sue x

  4. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, you have done it again Sue, blown me away with this sample, and not only that I think I have all of these to have a go at making it, got to get the Pixie powders out and make some blue backgrounds though. The best for me is the colour combination, white, silver hint of black and the stunning blue, how regal and elegant is that, love it.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  9. Morning Sue - really loving these intense blue backgrounds, they are so effective with the white - really grab the attention! Proves that the more traditional festive colours are not required for a stunning Christmas card! Colleen x

  16. Hi Sue. Had an overnight stay away from the noise of a fireworks show near by and we had no Internet so I've been itching to get home to see todays inspiration and as always I'm not disappointed and worthy of several visits. I struggle to do a big choice of birthday cards, or new home cards etc, you mention the occasion and I like to give at least 20 choices for each celebration for my market customers so I appreciate the amount of time and work that goes into making samples for your beautiful blog and to take to shows. This is why I'll always love supporting you and Particraft for the continuous hard work and choices you give us, you really do spoil us lol xxx

  28. I love the color combination, the individual elements you used to create this card, but it's a little too busy for me. The card will look better, at least for me, without the Bauble Branches. But everyone is different. Thanks for sharing, Sue.

Hugs from Toronto to you all.
    Stay safe and healthy.
