Get Well Wishes
Good Sunday morning all! I started today's simple card by inking a little Peacock Feathers and Crushed Oxide Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of white card randomly. I wanted to add a bit more detail to the card so I laid the Linear Loops stencil across the corner and then inked through it with the same inks. It ended up with a bit of an abstract stenciled look, but I liked it! I removed the stencil and heat set the ink. I stamped the Get Well words and cut them out with a tag die from the Wishes Bold Shadowed Word Die/Stamp combo. I added it with mounting foam to the top left side of the card. I cut the Wishes die in black card, then added it to a white shadow backing and glued it below the rest of the sentiment. I added mounting foam to the back of the card, then added it to a larger piece of white card to which I added Iced Snow around the edges. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue.

DeleteGood Morning Sue. A beautiful card today Sue. I love the colours. It reminds me of a lime and lemon long cold drink by the pool. And if that doesn't make anyone feel better ??? Well it would me. It's so bright and " zingy " if that's a word. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

Hi Sue. Not your usual style today - so modern looking, and this kind of technique is so popular at the moment. Sometimes it is a good idea to try something new as you never know how successful you will be, as you have been here (although I can't imagine you getting all messy and inky)
ReplyDeleteLisbeth

I like the background and that it doesn’t cover the entire background. We’re so used to seeing backgrounds that cover the entire card so it’s nice to see something different. The card is beautiful!
