Best Wishes

Hi bloggers!  I pulled out the acetate to create a caught in crystal technique for the background for today's card offering.  I used Cosmic Lacquer as the base on the acetate.  Next, I used Indigo Alcohol ink with a touch of Fiesta alcohol ink to add some lighter colour to it.  I sprinkled some Mermaid Purple  Holographic Glitter onto it, then scrunched up a piece of white tissue paper and added it over the top.  I allowed it to dry overnight.  I cut the panel from the Cosmos Floral Panel set twice out of white card and nipped away the slight line left between them, then glued it over the background.  I used the Double Pierced Background Rectangles and made a multi-layered white frame.  I used mounting foam to add the layers of the frame together, then to add it to the background.  I cut a wide strip of white vellum and glued it to the edge of the frame and added forked ends to it.  I cut the Best Wishes in white and glued it across the vellum strip.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are   5 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

    A gorgeous card Sue.
That background is so lovely, I really must start using some of the cardmaking stuff that I've bought over the last few years. I love everything about todays sample and will try to get out of my comfort zone.
    Thank you Sue
    Hugs.

  17. Good Morning Sue. I love this one. And I love it because it would be suitable for any occassion. All it needs is a different sentiment. I love the die cut panels ... beautiful tiny flowers. The background is gorgeous ... I can just see the tiny little glitter bits on the close ups . I really must give these a try. I rely on my pixies so much that I daren't try the others out. I am stupid or what lol. A great start to the week. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

    PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏

A great big happy Monday to everyone x
    And I’m back, lol x
A beautiful card to greet me on my return. Those colours are beautiful and I love your Panel dies. The caught in Crystal technique is one of my favourites and I did try it for the first time earlier this year. Every card I made using the caught in crystal backgrounds were relatively simple but so pretty x

  41. Hello Sue and all
Such a gorgeous background, I have never tried the caught in crystal but I haven’t done alcohol inks either, really should get some and try. Actually I bought yupi paper once to use what I thought were alcohol inks that I had had for a while but no - they were reindeer’s when I looked properly - silly me.
The cosmos panel looks so lovely against the vivid blues, lovely card
