You Are The Best
Hello bloggers! I just love the simplicity of this card as well as the pop of colour from the Stampcut die! I started with the background and embossed a piece of white card with the new Geo Trellis embossing folder. Next I inked and cut the Spring Roses and Daffodils Stampcut. I used a Black Archival ink pad to stamp it with and coloured it with Distress markers of various colour shades. Next I cut two of the Cut Corner Rectangles and latted them together. I attached them with mounting foam to the background. I used some Tumbled Glass distress ink on a smoothie to add a soft shadow for the die cut to sit in, then glued the Stampcut die cut into the corner. I cut the You Are The Best sentiment out of black card twice, then stacked them and glued it into the upper part of the card. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.
Hello Sue, gorgeous card, love the new embossing folder.

ReplyDeleteAww this card is so pretty thank you I love it.
Take care stay safe and have fun Kitty.
Morning Sue and all blog friends. This is so beautiful, my most favourite of all cards are white clean and simple, the colours you chose for the stampcut highlight the background folder and the simple rectangle, its the simplicity and beauty that would make me keep this and make a replacement - I'm sure I'm not the only one that every so often make a card they are particularly pleased and proud of. I just love this inspiration Sue and I know I'll be in again and again to enjoy this stunning work of art xxx

It's wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteThere’s so much about this card that I love . The embossing folder adds lots of texture, the frame adds interest with the cut corners, the floral cluster definitely draws my eye and you’ve colored it well and the sentiment is one that can be used over and over. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI completely understand losing track of the date. I’m playing catch up after being under the weather for the last week. It’s so easy to lose track when you’re sick too.
