You Are The Best

Hello there my crafty friends!  I thought I would show off another card that uses one of the Slimline stencils!  I started with a piece of white card and taped the Chevron stencil to it.  I used Custard Matt Chalk Polish through it.  The polish dries very quickly so I was able to use it immediately.  I trimmed around the stenciled area then added it to a wider piece of white card that I scored along the edge for a bit of detail.  Next I cut the Dandelion Posies in both white and black.  I used the black as a shadow behind and attached them along the line between the stencil and the white card.  I added some dries clear glue to the tops of them, then sprinkled with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz for a bit of bling.  I cut the You Are The Best sentiment several times, then stacked them and glued it onto the card.  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5"  x  9 1/2"  in size.  All for now.     Hello Sue, such a pretty card in delicate colours. Your slimline dies show how small can be beautiful and able to show such detail. The background ground stencil using chalk paint combined with such lovely dandelions flowers finish it perfectly xx

    Good Morning Sue. My favourite shape for cards at the moment. And the best thing is Sue ... you won't believe how much my scrap and bit box has reduced in size.! ! ! These dies are just great for this.     Hi Sue and everyone this card is beautiful I love everything about it, the colours, the chevron stencil, the dandelion flowers with a bit of sparkle. Even the scored lines just finish it off perfectly. A very pretty slimline card Sue and the sentiment layered up id perfect.

    A pretty and delicate card but I think I would have used a lighter colour on the sentiment - black seems too bold to me.

    I love the design of this card, simple but so elegant. You can use some scrap paper instead of a stencil. And the flowers bring the sparkles. I agree with Eunice: The Dandelion Posies are the game change! Thank you, Sue, for the inspiration. I will try this design in the near future using different dies.
