To A Dear Friend
Hi bloggers! I thought I would share a fun look using the Slimline Large Circles Background die. I cut it out of wisteria, aqua and powder pink card. I offset the three colours to create a different pattern and glued them together. Using the Slimline Essential Frame die set, I cut a white frame and added it with mounting foam over the background. I used the To A Dear Friend sentiment cut in white several times, then stacked and glued to the inside of the frame. I cut the Petite Peony Cluster out of white twice, then added powder pink flowers to it. I glued them into opposite corners. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 4 1/2" x 9 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a lovely creation with the 3 coloured circles patterns offset, and of course the wonderful sentiment which is a must for any crafter, we can relate to this so much.

ReplyDeleteMorning from Lancashire Sue. This is one reason why you'll never get rid of us, your ideas are just something I for one would never think of trying even if I did have the tools to make a card like this, I know we all have our own style our own favourite designs that are 'our signature' style but to say your experimental brain and thinking way way out of the box is so interesting is an understatement, so thank you for this really lovely sample and for adding to our files of interest. Have a lovely productive day xxx

What a clever way to use the circle dies Beautiful
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sue. Wow another slimline card ... I really can't get enough of these. I need another set that I have had my eye on. This is a lovely creative sample ..., only you would think to stack up different colours and make a great card. And if you use all your dark bits of scrap card ... you have a man card in no time. When I first started crafting we used to call these D.L. cards ... Personally Sue I prefer the name you have given to the dies ... being ... Slimline. Thankyou Sue.
ReplyDeleteA BIG THANKYOU. To everyone who wished me well yesterday with my line dance classes. Ohhh it was great to be back with our beginners class. We had Two Full Classes. I really loved them both. It was great to see all my ladies again smiling and happy that we could get out and " strutt our stuff " as the saying goes. Roll on next Tuesday.
Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them today
PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏

Good morning Sue and all
ReplyDeleteFabulous slimline card have made this card several times each time in 3 different colours ways
Keep all fall away piece separate in small bags
Cut out white big circles back it then pick 3 colours and stick into circles down first row keeping colours in same order
second row starting with second colour keeping same pattern down row
Third row start with third colour and keeping pattern same
Fourth row as first Keep going like that and you have a beautiful card and still have more fall away piece left to make more cards

Hi Sue, what a good idea to experiment with the dies in this way although, for me, the result is a bit too busy - sorry.
ReplyDeleteLisbeth
I agree with Lisbeth. Although the background looks cool on its own, it takes away from the sentiment die.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day everyone,

Super pretty card!
ReplyDeleteThis card is sweet and I can see it would be easy to adapt for a masculine card. Offsetting the circles adds a lot of texture and the sentiment is another that lets someone know you are thinking about them. I believe this is something the world needs more than ever right now.
