Sweet Wishes

Good Sunday morning all!  I started today's card by using a couple of different Matt Chalk Polishes on a piece of white card randomly.  I used Aqua and Wisteria Matt Chalk polishes. I used the Stripes embossing folder to add texture to the background.  I cut the Maggie die in white and added a wisteria card backing to it.  I used the Sweet Wishes sentiment cut in both wisteria and black.  I shadowed the sentiment then glued it to the centre of the die.   I cut one more Maggie die in white and nipped it in half, then attached the halves to the background with some width between them and added the wisteria Maggie die in the middle with foam.  I cut the Cosmos Flower solid dies out of a piece of white card with sticky adhesive sheet added to it.  I cut the matching outlines for each of the flowers.  I peeled the backing off of the solid die cuts, added the outline to them, then glittered them with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I did this to each of the flowers, then assembled them and added them to the card in opposite corners, then accented them with Mosaic Leaves.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are    6 3/4"  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Hi Sue. There is no mistaking who put this beauty together its you all over. Maybe because I use my phone to comment but the stripes background looks more silver/grey but it makes no difference to how the completed card looks, Maggie as always looks amazing, I'm sure she resides in many of our homes, one question I do have is when you mention you've used white cardstock is that coconut or bright white? I seem to use more bright white with the deeper shades, and the coconut white with the light pastels, I know there's no right or wrong I was just wondering. The past week has been full of gorgeous samples both new and and really new so thank you for the past week of sunshine and smiles. Stay safe and well xxx

  19. Morning Sue. I am really pleased to see another card using the Maggie die and it never ceases to amaze me at just how versatile it is. On my screen the background looks more grey with the pop of lilac behind the die cut which makes it look so serene.

  23. Hi Sue

A beautiful card. The good thing is that I have all the components to make this apart from the embossing folder, which is lovely.

I love the colours you have used today too.

  24. Hi Sue and everyone yes there's no mistaking this is a real Sue card. I love everything the embossing folder, the dies and the blingy flowers. The colour looks gorgeous behind. I cut two of your dies in half and added them behind flowers on a card last week. They were the perfect finishing touch.
I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday, whatever you all have planned. Card making later for me.
