You're A Star

Hello crafters!  How about a sports themed card for today's card offering!  I love the fact that I have been able to pull out so many of my older dies to make cards with the slimline collection!  I started this card by cutting the Slimline Decorative Squared Stripes die out of both Ruby Red and Cobalt Blue card.  I offset them so you could see all the stripes and it filled in the background except for the tiny squares.  I added a white backing card behind it.  I used the Slimline Essential Frames dies to add a plain white frame around the background.  Using the You're A Star die set I cut the tennis racket, American football or rugby ball, British football or soccer ball and golf club as well as the #1 and the You're a Star sentiment.  I used a silver paint pen on the tennis racquet and golf club and a black sharpie on both of the grips.  I glued all the pieces to the card in between the sentiment which I used three times.  The card was completed with white, ruby red and cobalt blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5"  x 9 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    Hi Sue what a contrast to yesterday's majestic inspiration from a wonderful face that could almost talk to us to a fun type quick and easy greeting to suite any sportsperson. I'm not sure we could even buy sport themed cards when I was into sport let alone have the tools to make them lol (be very careful with the reply comment box) lol. The more I see your samples using your recent dies the more I think batch cards nice and quick to do and a selection of packs of cards covering birthday,anniversary etc to other packs covering wedding and new baby and so on, or just the old fashioned notelet cards. Both the tiny shadow box accessory dies and your new slimline dies are brilliant especially for those new crafters that started over the past year you can't go wrong.     Good Mornings Sue. I see this wonderful creation as a man card ... But I know many women are into sport. I myself ... when I was younger ... did circuit training and step up arobics ...     How strange, I took the sport Dies out yesterday intending to do a sports card next time I went into my craft room. I was going to do a square card, but have now changed it to a DL card as I think this works so well. Thank you Sue! Great for teenagers.
