Surprise

Hi bloggers!  I just love these Big Bold Word dies, there are so many fun techniques you can do with them!  I started today's card by using alcohol inks on white Yupo paper.  I laid down diagonal lines of Purple Twilight, Sailboat Blue, Patina, Citrus, Red Pepper and Sunshine yellow alcohol inks.  I used a blender tool with felt on it and some Blending Solution drops on the felt to make the colours dance a bit in the stripes.  Once I was satisfied with the result, I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to cut it into two pieces.  I raised the inside piece with mounting foam.  I cut the Surprise die twice out of black card and glued them together, then glued it to the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x    8 1/4" in size.   All for now,   Sue x

  1. Hiya Sue and all Particrafters that visit this beautiful place.
Well what can I say - I hope you love them considering you're the designer lol your allowed to say that, and 100's of followers love them too we can't wait to see all the numerous techniques you show us to put them on or cut them through. Whatever everyone is up to today hope its enjoyable and that Trish isn't suffering too much and Zoe can find some mischief to take place of crafting till those fingers feel better. Sending much love to all. Stay safe keep caring xxx

  2. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another beautiful sample using the large words, but the yupo paper is what is intriguing me, I bought some years ago and had forgotten what to do with it, and I see you have now used it here, so thank you for that. I will have to google it and get some more ideas how to use it.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  19. What an eye popping background, absolutely fabulous darling :-). I must look into this yupo stuff as it’s been mentioned lots of times on here.

Trish - poor you, hope it flares back down again. Steph - here’s hoping to a return to normality soon.....although it’s quite funny watching the hubby get flustered trying to multi-task the things us ladies do with our eyes shut!!

    Hi there Sue and all.

I've had an awful day today as I was unable to get into my computer. My Son came around yesterday to put in my new Desktop PC and I thought all was well but this morning I couldn't
even switch it on. Too long a story to bore you with but it's taken until now and it's my old one I'm on now.
I really do like the card you have done for us today. I've never used That paper but you've certainly made it pop.
I love all the colours you've used and they all go well together.
Hope you've had a good day and hope to see your offering tomorrow.
    Marie P.
