Sloth
Hi there my crafty friends! I am sharing one of my favourite sloth cards! I started with the Tribal Fabric stencil and decided to go bright! I used a piece of white card and sponged Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry randomly all over the card. I dried it with a heat tool, then taped the Tribal Fabric stencil over it. I sponged Black Soot Distress ink through the stencil to make the pattern pop. Next I used the Double Stitched Squares and cut out a centre square. I raised the outer frame with mounting foam, then recessed the centre back into it. Next I stamped the sloth and cut it out with the matching Sloth die. I used Distress markers to colour, then added a vellum backing behind. I mounted the sloth across the centre of the card with foam. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now Sue x
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another lovely creation today, it is so amazing what you can do with your products, your so talented.

Fabulous card Sue, love the background design and colours xx Hazel
ReplyDeleteHi there Sue I do adore the oddest looking creatures of this world (I married one) but apart from the gorgeous cute Madagascar Aye-Aye the smiling sloth is also joint first when it comes to the cutest. I first saw a picture in my favourite wildlife book when I was 7 and since then I've been in love. Here in the UK there are adverts using animated sloths for various goods but they look nothing like, I've also seen sloth dies or stamps by other craft brands and they are an insult to sloths, but you have that cute loveable smiling face down to a T, just perfect and I want to cup their little face in my hands and snuggle into it lol oh dear lockdown has done me no good whatsoever, so I'll send you cute sloth smiles and much love, and hope you're day is as good as it can be, almost time to come out of hibernation xxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue, today's card is just sublime, I love everything about it, and the bright bold colours really make it perfect. The sloth looks like a child up to mischief with that smile. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
