Every Day Is A New Adventure

Good Sunday morning all!  I thought a card with a bright pop of colour would be a good eye opener!  I started with a piece of Yupo card and used a variety of alcohol inks all over it.  I used Sunshine Yellow, Red Pepper, Citrus, Sailboat Blue and Purple Twilight alcohol inks.  I used the outer cutting shadow die from the Every Day Is A New Adventure All in One die set and cut a scalloped backing piece.  I used the excess card and cut out the butterflies.  Next I cut the die again twice in  white card and once in black card.  I cut a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet added to it in the same rectangle shape as the die. I peeled the backing off and added one of the white die cuts to it.  I filled in the exposed adhesive with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.   I  cut the sentiment out of the black die and the second white die cut then used the black one as a shadow behind the white sentiment.  I glued these on top of the original sentiment.  I used the Crystal tints and filled in the small areas of the large butterfly in the corner.  I added the two small butterflies cut out of the Yupo card on top of the originals.  Using the Coffee Bean Flower embossing folder, I embossed a piece of white card.  I added the decorated die with mounting foam to the centre of the embossed piece.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  7 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  4. Oh wow Sue I love it it's so cheerful, all those bright and beautiful colours, can't make up my mind if you cut the thin scallop frame and put the cardstock over, if so that means you have a lovely colourful inked sheet of yuppo left for other projects. I'm not sure if I explained myself to well there lol either way how much happiness would a card like this bring as you open the envelope or hand delivered box. Happy Sunday or Monday to all blog family xxx

  5. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a fantastic sample to wake up to this morning when the weather is so horrid outside, this certainly brightens up my day with all the alcohol inks, glitter blitz, and crystal tints you have used, absolutely stunning colourations. Finishing off with the 'every day' frame set.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

    Good Morning Sue and all.
Another lovely card to start off the day.
I do so wish I could tell one white card from another.
That would be a bonus. I love the sound of YUPO but can't imagine it.

Thank you Sue for starting my day.

  23. Hi Sue
    Happy (albeit snowy) Sunday x
My goodness that’s a magnificent background. Those colours are fabulous. Even though we can only see a tiny bit of the glorious rainbow that tiny burst of technicolour is fabulous and makes this card pop x
I stumbled across a pack of yupo card in my clear out as well as rediscovering my alcohol inks so they have gone on to my to do list. I need to do some investigating and find some demos first as I’m not quite sure how to ‘treat’ the yupo paper. I kept stroking it when I found it. It’s got a really strange but rather lovely texture. I know you have some videos on your channel using yupo paper so that will be my first port of call x
Well the weather forecast was not wrong. It’s snowing and windy and don’t think it will be stopping any time soon. Plenty cups of tea and chocolate are the way forward and a cosy afternoon playing in my crafty place. Well that’s the plan - we’ll see x

  29. Hi Sue
Stunning card, love the bright colours of the alcohol inks on the Yupo paper but I don’t have either to play with. I will play with the beyond blue pixie sparkle that arrived yesterday along with a couple more slimline dies, I’m now addicted to dl size cards!!

    Love and hugs to everyone
