Wishing You Brighter days

Hello bloggers!  I just love these Cut Corner Rectangles!  I began this card by embossing a piece of white card with the Quilted Pillow Embossing Folder.  Next I used the Cut Corner Rectangles and cut two thin frames out of Cobalt Blue card.  I used the set again and cut wider white frames.  I added the blue frames to the inside and outside edges of the white frames, then added mounting foam to raise the outer one.  I added the larger one to the embossed background and then recessed the smaller one into the centre, added an unembossed centre section.  I used the Wishing You Brighter Days All in One die and cut it in Cobalt blue card.  I nippeed away the sentiment and added a black shadow to it, then glued it to the centre of the vcard.  I used the Jasmine Flower die set to create three flowers.  I cut them in white and used Chipped Sapphire Distress ink on the petals before assembling them.  I added them to opposite corners of the card.  Using the Magnolia Corner die, I cut it in Khaki card a couple of times and nipped it apart.  I added the greenery around the flowers as accents.  I completed the card with white and Cobalt Blue mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are 7"  x        8 1/2"   in size.  All for now. Sue x

  27. I really like the layered die cut frames and the added texture they create. Choosing to cut them I two opposite colors adds to the texture of this lovely card. I’m a big fan of the Jasmine flower and the bit of whimsy it adds.
