Wishing You Brighter Days

Hello crafters!  I would like to share another of the new All In One designs during this post.  I started by embossing the background using the Quilted Pillow embossing folder and adding a black mat.  I cut the Wishing You Brighter Days out of a piece of background card I made using the new Watercolour Pearlescent Inks.  I used the Red Sunset, Golden Sunrise and Flamingo Pink.  I dripped the ink all over the card, then spritzed it with water to help it spread and blend.  I covered it with a piece of cling film and scrunched it so the mica would pull into the wrinkles as it dried.  Once dry, I cut the die out of it, then cut a second one in black and used it as a shadow.  I cut once more out of black and nipped away just the wording and glued it on top of the words in the base.  I added a white card backing to it then attached it to the centre of the embossed background.  I glittered the Whirligig Flowers and assembled them and attached them on opposite sides.  I used the Lace Edged Leaves as accents around the flowers.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  4. Hi Sue and everyone that visits. What can I say - since March the world has changed to an extent the majority will never see anything like this again (I hope) I for one don't want my granddaughter to go through this ever again. Can anyone really believe how it's all escalated from 2 people in China but you have helped by giving us the art of craft, beauty and inspiration every day whilst going through the same as us. I've never EVER EVER let much get me down or get really depressed unless a loss has hurt my heart, but I can honestly say since March like everyone else my headspace has been totally turned upside down. You gave us some beautiful new dies with some major significant expressions and this is one of them, one I wish for you, your lovely partner and family, I also feel I've been through this with over 50+ friends all frightened and wondering what's going to happen so this means the world something I wish for all that visit ❤

  24. A really lovely card and a sentiment so apt for these awful times. But later on, when we’re all through this, this sentiment will still be useful - just snip off the “er” and we have ‘bright’! A sentiment which can be sent to anyone at anytime.
