Tweet Friend

Hi bloggers!  How about a night time version of the Cherry Blossom Frame and the Robin's Family!  I started by cutting the Cherry Blossom Frame out of Kraft card.  I backed it with a piece of Petrol Blue card.  I cut a circle and laid the aperture down and used a white pencil through it to put a moon in the background.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to make a white multi-layered frame and added it with foam mounting tape.  I used one of the fall away branches and glued it so it went out of the picture, onto the white frame.  Using the flower die from the Cherry Blossom set, I cut it in powder pink card.  I added several of the flowers around the frame and used one to hide the join of the extra branch.  From the Robin Family die set, I cut two of the Robins out if brown card.  I added red bellies to them and glued them onto the branch.  I used the Tweet Friend sentiment from an older set called A Little Birdie Told Me.   I completed the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  9 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  3. Hiya Sue. It's either all the talk about the Greatest Showman and Hugh Jackman (yum) or my thick winter dressing gown but I certainly started to get hot during your demo, there are two things that helped lift my spirits during lockdown if I didn't feel like I could concentrate on craft and one was watching that happy uplifting film it was sure to get my foot tapping and put a smile on my face. You looked glowing and healthy last night and it's so special to see our Sue Wilson enjoying putting samples together again, its lovely to see you if only for a short time. So keep looking lovely radiant and STAY SAFE KEEP CARING AND VIGILANT ๐Ÿ’– xxx

  17. Good Morning Sue. What a lovely scene. And those little robins are to die for. What a difference the dark blue background makes to make an evening scene. This die reminds me of the Chinese blossom design we often see in some fabrics. Thankyou Sue. I am so sorry I missed your show ....due to unpacking ...washing and drying ....And general stuff that has to be done when we get home ....need another holiday now....ha ha. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning.Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

  31. This is such a pretty die and I had to have it. I have Audubon members in my family so bird cards always go over well. I especially love the branch. I may try to convert the die into a Christmas scene rather than spring.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. I think its going to rain here but crafting is an indoor sport,
