Have A Warm And Cosy Christmas

Hi there my crafty friends!  I have a frosty Christmas card to share today!
I started by cutting the Snowflake & Swirls background out of white card several times to get as many snowflakes as I could get.  I used the fall away snowflakes for the background.  I put a piece of self adhesive sticky sheet over a piece of Arctic Blue card.  I peeled the backing paper away and laid down the snowflakes randomly around the edge.  Once it was complete, I added Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to all the exposed adhesive on the edge (for the centre area, I put a piece of paper so as not to use too much glitter.)  I cut the Deco Trees Background outer die in white.  I glued an Arctic Blue backing to it and then cut the centre out to make a frame.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it.  I used the Twinkle Swirls 3D Embossing folder and embossed a piece of white card.  I attached the frame over it and cut away the excess, then added it to the background with foam.  The Have A Warm And Cosy Christmas sentiment was cut several times out of Arctic Blue card and stacked, then glued into the centre of the frame.  The card was completed with white and arctic blue mats and layers.  Thee finished dimensions are 8"  x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  20. A lovely card that I think I would certainly like to try and make although it’s size and weight probably means hand delivery only. I do like the simple colour choice..so effective.

    1. Hi Tressa. If in the UK it will cost 1.30 or one first class large letter stamp.
I send this size regularly to my customers. I put the card inside the envelope inside a plastic posting bag with cardboard either side to keep it from folding. Get yourself some first class large letter stamps and that will cover your post. Hope this info has helped xx

  21. What a beauty! Think we may have to have a (lonely) warm & cosy Christmas, but if that is what it takes to keep safe so be it. Just hope we have some lovely cards like this to lift our spirits. Thank you Sue.

  26. Hi Sue. There are certainly lots of snowflakes on this card. You can never have too many snowflakes or too much glitter on a Christmas card in my opinion. Love this one.

  41. A lovely and cool looking card design in blue and white. You did a great job placing that tiny "A" at the end of the flourish. I like how you placed the fall away snowflakes around the outside edge and then filled in with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. Thank you for sharing.

RE: rewind show on Create & Craft
I wanted to go back and rewatch your show and a few of Jamie's shows on C&C. I was not able to do so. Seems C&C have stopped doing the catch-up TV shows. So disappointed about this new direction from C&C.

  44. Wonderful Christmas Card, Sue. I love the colours and it gives such an etheral look.

I have only just found out that Rewind has been stopped by C&C, but they have not said so on their website!! Which gives the impression that the 7-day catch up show is still available.

Whereas I can still watch shows on Hochanda which has that facility - shame CE have moved to C&C.
