Good Sunday morning all! I think it would be nice if we could "wine together" at the moment, but this is the next best thing! LOL
I embossed a piece of white card with the Scrolled Heart embossing folder for the background. Next I cut a thin frame using the Double Stitched Square die set and added it with foam to the upper part of the card. I cut the wine bottle out of Merlot cardstock and added it to the left. I cut the Chianti bottle out of tab and amethyst card. I cut just the basket part out of the tan card and glued it on top of the other one, then added it to the frame. I cut the glass out of white and merlot card and cut away the liquid portion of the glass and glued it onto the white glass. I used a soft blue pencil to add highlights to the glass. I cut the grapes out of amethst and khaki card. I cut the grapes away and glued them on to the khaki card and added highlights to the grapes. I cut the sentiments out of merlot card and glued the wine word inside the frame and the longer sentiment below the frame. I used a white pencil to add soft highlights to both the bottles. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

A wonderful card Sue xx Hazel
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue.
ReplyDeleteA great card thank you.
take care and stay safe Kitty.
This is wonderful Sue, the colours are so bright and realistic and the bright white cardstock really makes the whole project crisp and clean and the design stand proud.
ReplyDeleteI wake with such good crafting intentions but by the time I've done the mundane things that keeps crafting guilt at bay my enthusiasm has gone, although the one 30th card I was asked for that took a week to complete and needed 'my keepers' help has got lost in the post and I could break my heart for my customer as she was so excited to give her daughter the card tomorrow, a pink/silver dartboard for a darts lover, made even more feminine with your lipstick and nail varnish dies, plus one of your newish pint glasses, yes a weird request which is why it took so long to make - gone, vanished along with my mojo now π’
Anyway more to worry and be concerned about in our broken poorly world so I'll send all my love to you both and ALL that visit today and please.....

ReplyDeleteGreat card and Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI love how you’ve highlighted the glass with a light blue pencil It really makes it look quite realistic
Morning Sue, I love your 'alcoholic ' cards and with your permission, I will definitely be trialling this one as I have a few family, male birthdays in the next couple of months. Hope it turns out half as good as this one.
ReplyDeleteTalking of sharing a glass o r 2/3, did any of you see the 2 neighbours who normally visit the pub together (N E tv), and because of lock down, have taken down one of their garden fence panels, rotated it, added a leg of wood and now they can set their 'table'with beer/wine glasses etc.and enjoy a drink and a chat together. Where there's a will, there's a way!!
Take care everyone. Keep safe.
Hugs xxx Pauline

Hi Sue. What a really effective card, white on white with a pop of colour. And yes, it would be really lovely to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with you all, we can but dream.
ReplyDeleteLisbeth
Great design and perfect sentiment love Carole x
ReplyDeleteYour Wine card is very inviting. Wish friends could get together and wine a bit, too. I am certainly ready to stop being shelted in place and get out and about. Your design today shows how well you pay attention to the smallest of details. The soft blue pencil really does make the glass look real. I like your textures, the step up and step down of the layers, and especially the rich colors on the white card. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Sue I love this card and I do like a nice glass of wine now and again. It would be so nice to share some with some friends but we must do the right thing. Take care. Hugs Jackie
