Sending Warm Wishes

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a quick and easy quilt card to share today.  I started with the Cube Quilt die and cut it four times.  First out of white card which provided the base, then I used Wisteria card, Lilac card and Iris card.  For the last three colours, I kept the fall away pieces to use.  I attached the white base die to a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet attached to it.  I then used the different colours to paper piece back into the design.  I used the Double Stitched Square die to make a wide white frame and added it with foam.  I cut two smaller squares, one out of wisteria card and a smaller one out of white card.  These were stacked and added to the centre of the card as a base for the sentiment.  I cut the Sending Warm Wishes out of Iris card and added them to a white shadow base, then glued them to the centre.  I completed the card with white, wisteria and iris mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are  8"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue. Yesterday's video was so lovely to watch, and watching those from way way back made me smile - how crafting has changed, they are well worth watching to help lift spirits, I can highly recommend doing this it's a lovely way to spend your day of its hard or impossible to craft at the moment. Trish, is it to awkward to use a stamp pad on a lap tray on your lap? I was thinking about you stamping some of the flowers that go with the dies in preparation for when you're on your feet again.
Today's inspiration is sooo pretty and fresh and this collection of quilting dies lend themselves to so many colourful combo's meaning they are so useful for any gender.
Sue please stay safe it's still so dangerous and unpredictable over there, that goes for all our craft family. ....

The colours give this card a lovely fresh
look, other colours would give a completely
    different look.

  8. Hello Sue
Lovely card and sentiment, the colours are clean and fresh. Stephanie thank you for caring I would love to be able to stamp and cut out but the problem is my foot keeps swelling so I have to keep it raised which makes it difficult to balance anything on my lap. Take care everyone x

Crewe Trish if you have a chair with arms maybe you could use a piece of board that rests on top of the arms and not on your leg? This was a solution we used when our daughter had a poorly leg I hope your leg starts to improve soon

Lovely quilt card design using shades of purple. Piecing the different colored bits really enhance the design. As always I like the stepping of the layers. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I have learned so much from you in card making and techniques.
