Cheers

Good Sunday morning all!  I started by mixing Violet Vibe and Lemon Sherbet Lustre Polish on to a piece of black card.  I just swiped it across randomly until it filled the card and allowed it to dry thoroughly.  Next I embossed it using the Flourish Border Frame embossing folder.  I cut the Grapevine Frame die out of Antique Gold card and again out of white card.  The second time I cut it, I added another piece of white card under the one I was cutting and it left the image of the die in the card.  I used that one to colour in the leaves and grapes.  Once it was dry, I put a piece of sticky adhesive sheet over it, then added the Antique Gold version of it.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to cover the exposed adhesive.  I nipped away all the vine on the white version then glued it over the top.  I used a small piece of the leftover lustre polish background and cut the Cheers sentiment out of it, then glued it in the centre of the frame.  I attached the frame in the centre of the embossed background.  Using the Merlot die set, I cut two glasses out of white card as bases and added some pale blue pencil highlights.  I cut two more glasses out of purple card and cut away the "wine" portion and glued them to the bases.  I added the glasses in the lower corner of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  4. HAPPY EASTER Sue and to all that visit today.
My first thought was wow what a rich and regal looking sample with those gorgeous Lustre Polishes, I've never invested in these pots of magic there's always been something I've needed more, I may treat myself when my little shop re-opens - if she ever re-opens. This is a beautiful collection of dies and you've highlighted just how beautiful with today's inspiration.
I wish I had the words to express how wonderful your blog is for bringing people together and in turn making lifelong friends, Ive met some very special friends here, one, a nurse that lives so near to me she nursed me in A&E at our local hospital during one of my pneumonia episodes how very special to see a friend suddenly appear, we've remained good friends, she appeared again yesterday with Easter gifts some of which were two of your new dies (I need to keep my mouth shut lol) especially when talking to a craft friend lol. So you can see the importance of this blog Sue, you've bought so many lovely friendships together and made so many people happy just by the love of craft.
So - KEEP SAFE KEEP CRAFTING AND KEEP OUR NHS AND FRIENDS SAFE ❤ xxx

  10. Hi Sue

Happy Easter to you and everyone.

A nice card. I usually leave my embossing ‘naked’ because I love embossed card, but must use more mediums on the card first as well I think because when you do it, it always looks good.
