Rose Lady

Hi there my crafty friends!  I just love the new Perfect Portraits Collection and thought I would share this one of the Rose Lady.  I pulled out my alcohol inks and some white Gloss card for the background.  I used Sailboat Blue, Purple Twilight, Citrus,  Flamingo and Mermaid Alcohol inks.  It is a lot of ink colours, but I basically laid them onto the card in stripes so there wasn't much to cause the colours to muddy.  They did run together a bit, but all the colours mixed nicely.  I used the Rose Lady. and cut into the background.  I cut the Rose Lady again out of black card and used it as a shadow, slightly offset underneath.  I added a white card backing behind the Rose Lady.  Using the Double Pierced Oval die set, I made a multi layered white frame and added it with mounting foam to frame the Rose lady.  I completed the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now , Sue x

  4. Hi Sue. I think out of all the dies from the last launch these dies took me by surprise the most, why I don't know as we're all use to that curve ball you throw us from time to time lol but the artistry behind these two dies were just amazing Sue. Who could have ever guessed that from the designs of Spellbinders to your own brand of today we could be working with the kind of design we could possibly only see on an artist's canvas, from a simple piece of metal and a sketch book comes something as stunning as this. And something else that touches my heart about you and Particraft, friendship. Worldwide friendships have been made, albeit virtual it's amazing that so many lovers of Particraft haven't even met but are genuine enough to send gifts, they offer a helping hand anyway they can, may it be to new crafters or dumb crafters like myself lol we get the help with a click of a button, but the gifts that are shared by genuine virtual friends uplift our heart in a world of so much hate and upset and illness, it's down to blogs like yours where kind people meet on a daily basis that help strike up friendships that otherwise wouldn't grow. So thank you for helping these friendships blossom xxx

When I first saw the perfect portrait dies I had to have them! They are my favourite dies at the moment. I love the different effects you can get by using different backgrounds, At the moment I’m making a birthday card for my friend with the butterfly lady, it’s nearly finished and I know my friend is going to love it. You’ve used some pretty colours on today’s card it’s beautiful.

  22. Hi Sue, I applaud the artistry behind this die and card. I don't want to detract anything from it just because it doesn't 'do it' for me as I can see perfectly why it has such a wide appeal. Maybe seeing it IRL would change my mind.
