For You

Good Sunday morning all!  This one is a bit of an older creation, but it never got a day on the blog last year so I thought I would right that!  I started with a piece of Slate Gray card and used the Abigail decorative die to cut into the card three times across it in a diamond orientation.  It overcuts where it overlaps, but not to worry.  I backed it with a piece of powder pink card to show through.   I cut the Abigail die again out of white and black and used the black one as a shadow, then mounted it in a square orientation in the centre of the card (covering the overcut area.  I cut white and black circles as the base for the For You sentiment, which I cut out of pink and added a black shadow.  I used the Exquisite Poppy flower and created three flowers.  I added them in opposite corners with some leaves and a white satin ribbon.  The card was completed with white, powder pink and slate grey card mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  9 1/2".  All for now, Sue x

  5. Hi Sue
I really need to have Abigail in my circle of friends! She looks amazing. Absolutely love the colours you have used. Grey is not a colour I reach for that often but then I see a card like this and it looks gorgeous - especially when partnered with pink. The Exquisite Poppy is one of my favourite flowers and finishes this masterpiece off perfectly x
My weekend plans of card making have not come to pass as yet. My intentions are there ..........
    Happy Sunday everyone x
