Flying Owl Card

Hi crafters!  Here is a great card for those of you that are fond of owls (as I am!) that uses the Moonlit Owl set and the Leafy Forest 3D embossing folder.  They are perfect together, don't you think?

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Morning Sue, these dies are just awesome, and along with the wine themed ones are topping my wish list. Love the card and the light touch of colour on the embossed background. Have a good day everyone. Bx

  3. Morning Sue from another cold wet and very blustery Lancashire. Think I was born in the wrong country lol I need to be somewhere nice and warm or maybe just stop moaning and re-ajust the heating to start up earlier lol somewhere I know I'll be going is to your craft room to see you put this lovely sample together. I know there are other owls on the market but none as intricate as your die, the depth of the embossing is just so clever and the other important additions help almost tell this owls story if that doesn't sound to stupid! This collection is just right for bird/owl lovers, imagine their amazed look on their face, and imagine the owl on a eery dark background too, how spooky would that looks. Anyway I love today's inspiration and looking forward to the video later. Hope it's warmer for you Sue and enjoy your day xxx

  5. Hi Sue
Yes I know it’s been ages!
What a wonderful card. A work of art - no less. I really love the owl dies and have had my eye on them since the launch. My sister absolutely adores owls and has done for ages so this card and any cards made from these gorgeous dies would thrill and delight her.
The leafy forest embossing folder is so perfect and your colouring is delightful. This card would be apt for so many different occasions - love it x
Apologies for my absence. Had a lovely week in the Isle of Wight at the end of November (non existent internet so no comments whilst away). When I got back I took a few days to adjust then was hit head on by a flu like bug which floored me so have been completely out of action. Anyway I am hoping things are on the up and I can start feeling the Christmas spirit. My preparations up til now are zero so need to get my self organised - wish me luck!
    Happy Saturday everyone

  9. Morning Sue, I also liked your owl dies when you launched them but trust me to buy the other one instead of this one. Personally, I would love to receive a card like this because I have been a collector of anything 'owlish' since watching a family being raised in our barn, when I was young. I do like the background trees. Hugs xx Pauline

  36. I know there are tree embossing folders about although I don't own one and now I know why, I was waiting for a SW folder. I do love owls. We have one who lives near us and I hear him hooting when I take the dogs out at night.
PS. to Sam. I feel your pain. I am getting ready to convert my dining room from a craft room back to its intended purpose. Finished my Christmas cards and December birthday cards but I may have to keep out a few stamp sets and papers so I won't go bonkers over the holiday.
