Noel

Hello there my crafty friends!  Now that the frenzy of multiple posts a day is behind us, we are back to once a day (hope you aren't too disappointed!)  I still have so many Christmas cards to share too!  This one started by making a piece of pixie powder background using the Midnight Blue and Purple Violet.  I spritzed them liberally with water then add a piece of cling film and scrunched it over the top and allowed it to dry.  I used the Paula die to cut it then added the middle section of the die cut in white and a silver card backing.  I used the Stacked Noel cut out of antique silver card with the op layer cut from silver mirror card.  I added it to a white shadow and attached it with foam pieces to the upper corner.  I made two poinsettias out of vellum and I used a touch of pearl gilding polish on the tips before assembling them.  I added them to the lower corner and used the Evergreen Branches in white as accents.  The card was completed with white and silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  5. Morning Sue. One post a day is better than no posts at all. Talking of which, I'm usually good at hiding 'cheeky post' how do I explain two of your dies on the hall floor when we get back home today? They were due the day before we came to our countryside escape cottage, I'm sure my keeper won't mind considering I actually NEED them and it's 2 less off his list (that's if I put them on his list)!!
They are festive dies so having a festive sample today will make me get a start on the large order plus get some made for market to top up with. I made a purple /gold pixie background with cling film last week and it's come out so pretty can't wait to make more and use with my new dies. Lots in the to do list as it's home today. Have a great day xxx

  7. Hi Sue
Being back to one post suits me when it is such a magnificent specimen. What a beautiful card x
I really must get the old cling film out and try this technique. As my name proves I am a lover of everything Pixied and have a stash of backgrounds which are all amazing, but I am definitely feeling the urge to have a play and create some new and exciting versions of my favourite colours and blends. Too busy this week but come next week this activity has just gone to the top of my to do list x

  9. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a beautiful creation this morning with the vibrant blue background, I suspect that the photo does not do this justice, would love to see it in real life, or even as a video of how you made it.

  41. Hi Sue, I love this gorgeous card. I had a quick look on my tablet earlier and it looked as though you had used milk and craft card :-) It looked really nice in that colourway but I do prefer this version and am already thinking of trying it using red pixies and gold. Thanks for the idea.
