Hello all! Think Powder Pink and milk card for today's sample. I started by cutting the
Diagonal Background from the Filigree Artistry Collection out of
vellum and attaching it to a piece of milk card for a tone on tone look. Next, I used the
Double Stitched Ovals to make a multi-layered frame. I cut a larger base frame from milk card then added a thinner frame to the top cut out of
Powder pink card. I attached it with mounting foam to the centre of the card. I cut the
On Your Special Day sentiment out of pink a couple of times and stacked them up for dimension, then glued it into the top of the frame. I cut the
Wedding Couple out of milk card and added them to the side of the frame with foam. I used the
Blossom Patch die set to cut three small pink flowers and added them to the opposite side of the frame with small pearls for the centres. The card was completed with milk and powder pink mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 7" in size. All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteHi Sue this is lovely, such a beautiful keepsake as a reminder of a perfect day. At last I had the chance to design a card of my liking rather than follow a customers 'criteria' so I pulled out some of my favourite older flower dies and stamps to die for and made a whole batch of silver embossed Petunias and the leaves to frame a circular apature, white on white my favourite, it made it such a pleasure to create my own card without having to trawl Google for some daft image, I just hope the customer likes it enough to give to the bride and groom on Saturday, to say my heart's in my mouth is an understatement. I hope whatever your plans for the day it's a happy safe day. Thanks for sharing this beautiful sample with us xxx

Hi sue, I love this card, and so does everyone else, so much so I’ve had orders for 3 of them, when I’m in hospital and that’s a lot and I show the nurses your cards they always say they are elegant and very posh lol I have the Dies and the card stock and I’ve nothing els to do in the day, so I make them cards lol then the night staff come on and see them and they want one lol so now I pack a craft bag for hospital and another for clothes lol I don’t charge for them or I say leave a little donations and then that goes to the charity for cancer as I lost my mam when I was 12, anyway keep doing what you do best, crafty hugs Julie laz xxxx
