Thinking Of You

Good Sunday morning all!  I have dipped back into the October release for today's card.  I selected a palette of black, white and powder pink for it.  I cut the Abigail die out of black card.  I cut it into four pieces and added each of the corners to a larger piece Powder pink for the base.  I cut it again out of black, but just added it to a powder pink base this time, then added it in a diamond orientation to the middle of the card.  I cut the Lottie die in white and layered it in the centre.  I used the centre of the Eliza die in white as the base for my sentiment.  I cut Thinking of you out of black and pink and used the black as a shadow then glued it in the centre of the card.  I added some small flowers from the Chloe die as accents.  I completed the card with white, black and powder pink mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  5. What a lovely colour scheme you've chosen to show every single detail of Abigail. As soon as the sample loaded my brain saw the oil on water pattern for just a second or 4, the way each swirl and curl of the design makes its way over the cardstock looks so pretty, and the way you've pieced the black of Abigail over the delicate pink picks up each minute pattern, it's just so pretty and clever I love the way they all work so perfectly together. It's even bought the sun out from the dark cloudy start we had here in Lancashire. I hope your day is full of sun too xxx

  52. Hi Sue. Sounds as though you are not too well, hope you feel better soon and are OK for your TV appearance tomorrow. Love the design of today's card but although I usually like the combination of black and white there is a little too much black in this one for me I might swap the colours around - sorry.
