Hi bloggers! I was supposed to be doing shows on Create and Craft today, but I caught a nasty cold that just isn't letting go of me. I am feeling a bit better but my voice is not quite back and I still have quite a bit of congestion too. So I have asked Julia is she will cover my shows for me today so I know you will be in good hands with her! Here is one of the samples made with the
Alice die that is on the shows. I started with a piece of
sticky adhesive sheet and I cut the
Alice die in white and added it to it and trimmed around the edge to be even. Next I cut the
Alice die in
Arctic Blue, Sky Blue and Bluebell card. I used the fall away pieces from all the colours to fill in the grid. I added mounting foam to the back and added it to a larger piece of white card. I used double sided tape around the edge and added
Iced Snow to the tape for a frosty edge. I cut the
Camilla die in white and added it to the centre of the card. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the circle in the centre of Camilla. I added two small flowers in blue made from the
Bitty Blossoms. White and Bluebell mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x
6 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Adorable card! Beautiful ombre feel for the squares on the background and just love Alice die!! :D
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, sorry to hear that you have been unwell, although you are on the mend, you will still have to take it easy for a while, thankfully Julia will be taking your show, she will do you proud, hope you feel much better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe sample today is exquisite, so beautiful and I have that die so will be trying it with your permission of course.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Oh Sue, it seems as soon as you kick back, relax and take your annual holiday away from work the bugs seem to catch up with you ! I think the more 'mature and wise' we get the harder it is to shake off these colds, they want their bugs worth out of us, I do hope you can find some relief from somewhere soon and get back to health asap.
ReplyDeleteCalming was the first thought when today's sample loaded, soothing beautifully matched blues with the stunning Camilla taking centre point, I really didn't realize just how pretty, delicate and intricate she was, and those gorgeous little Bitty Blooms finish off today's inspiration beautifully. So I'll now send love and best wishes and hope you soon feel so much better soon xxx
Stunning card. Hope you feel better soon.

Good morning Sue and so sorry that it's not good for you.
ReplyDeleteI think your body is telling you that you need a rest so make the most of it.
Your card for today is beautiful and I do so love your almost signature colours. I believe I must have missed some important information as I don't get to see C&C very often and now wonder if that is where the recent list of winners is to be found.
All for now.

Hi Sue, I also follow Julia's blog and she said a couple of days a go that you were under the weather. Hoping it clears soon. Yet another great card. WakeyL
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are unwell, I am sitting watching Julia just now doing a great job with your demonstrations. Beautiful card & loving all the blue shades.Yvonne xx
A simple yet beautiful card that would cover any occasion. Happy Birthday, New Baby Boy and on and on depending on what is stamped in the centre, what I call a go to card. Make it up but leave the sentiment blank and you can just stamp the appropriate sentiment and have it in the post 10 minutes later, ideal for emergencies.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are not feeling well, of course Julia will do a sterling job and we never tire of watching her, but you will be missed Sue. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Hugs Helen xxx
Hi Sue, hope you get better soon. Love the card with the blues and the little diddy flowers, so pretty. Have a good day everyone. Bx

Hi Sue, a lovely card in beautiful shades of blue. Alice is, of course, fantastic and so much amazing detail in Camilla is terrific. With a change of sentiment it would be suitable for many different occasions.
ReplyDeleteHappy that you are improving but don't rush back to work, this particular virus seems to linger far longer than you expect. I will catch up with Julia's first show shortly when I am doing some ironing but hopefully will see the others in real time.
Even though it is wet and chilly across most of the country I hope everyone still manages to enjoy their May Day holiday.
Frances
