On Your Special Day

 Hello there my crafty friends!  Even though the April die launch is complete, I thought I would share a card made with one of the matching Stamps To Die For.  I used the Lace Heart Stamp and stamped it randomly in a sort of square pattern.  I then used the Double Stitched Squares to cut out a frame.  Once cut I inked it with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink. I cut a wider frame out of white card and attached the stamped frame to the top of it.   I embossed a piece of coconut white card with the Scrolled heart embossing folder and attached the multi layered frame over it.   Next I stamped the Lace Heart STDF again on to white card.  I cut it out with the outer die from the Woven Heart and while still in the die, I inked it with Worn Lipstick Oxide ink.  I removed it and added it with foam inside the frame.  I cut the On Your  Special Day sentiment and glued it across the heart.  I cut the Wedding Couple in black and added it with foam to the side of the frame.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are
 7 3/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    Hi Sue.
    Wow doesn't the heart STDF look amazing, it looks like layered netting, how clever. One thing I'd love to work out is to cut a reverse Groom so I have two Groom's facing each other for Civil Ceremony cards. This is another beautiful sample that has the wow factor.     Oh wow - that STDF is a real beauty. I love the way you have used it to stamp then cut the frame. It gives a striking effect.
    Your new Bride and Groom are perfect in every way. Wonderful card.
    I am savouring this post seeing as it is the only one we will have today. Lol. Hope you will be able to have a bit of a rest Sue after the whirlwind of the past week.
    It would appear that now that your launch is over so is the good weather I have been enjoying. The blue skies and good washing line conditions are not playing out today!

    Good Morning Sue. Gorgeous card today Sue. The heart really does look like lace. And I just had a thought what if you stamped a piece of card with the lace stamp and cut it out with just the bride section of the bride and groom die..... her dress would look lacy too.... might work ....might not...but its worth a try and if we don't try we will never know.... just a thought. Thankyou Sue.

    Steph I’m nearly sure that on the last shows that Sue did on Hochanda she showed how to reverse the hummingbird die so if you have those recorded it might be worth a look

    Hi Sue. Love the stamp and die which together contribute to a pretty card, however, I would normally use the black lace and red colours to suggest something a little more saucy than for a wedding card.
