Just For You

Good Sunday morning all!  A crisp blue and white card for the blog today!  I selected a piece of cobalt blue card as my base and cut the Triple Column Background  to go on it.  Next I cut the Basketweave Background in white  and added a white backing piece to it.  I cut a frame for it using the Double Stitched Rectangle die set and added it with foam mounting over it.  I cut away the excess of the background and added foam to the back and attached it to the middle of the Triple Column Background.  I cut the Just For You sentiment out of cobalt blue card and glued it into the top of the frame.  Using the Petite Forget Me not die set, I made three scrunched flowers and edges them with Chipped Sapphire ink.  I seated them in the corner of the frame and added white leaves as accent.  I tucked a white satin bow under them.  The card was completed with white and cobalt blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  18. This card is a real beauty of a Sue Wilson speciality. Everything is perfect, just love it! This die was my favourite from your last release but unfortunately was rather large for the size of cards I make, so had to pass on it, so sad! Thank you Sue.

  26. Hi Sue
Well one n look at this and you know immediately that it is made by your fair hand! It is a truly wonderful ‘Sue card’.
Cobalt blue - that’s one I haven’t seen for a while. It is such a magnificent colour to contrast with white. Something else I have in my stash but have forgotten about - happens so often! The Triple Column Background is a stunner. It hadn’t gone unnoticed up til now, but seeing it against the cobalt in all its glory, has made me view it in a completely different light. It is now a serious contender for one of the top spots on my list of wants and needs!
I think the Basketweave Background is such an ingenious backdrop for any card. Subtle enough to sit quietly as a background but intricate enough to make an impression. The added bonus is that it is so perfect for all those ‘man cards’! Then there is the Petite Forget Me Nots. Well they may be petite but they could never be overlooked!
I really love your messy bows. My bows never look like that - mine really are messy in the true sense. Going to bring some ribbon to Ally Pally next time I come and ask you to show me your messy bow method! (Like you don’t have enough to do at Ally Pally)!

I would like to wish all mums and ‘honorary ‘ mums a Happy Mother’s Day! Crewe Trish - a big hug to you x
The boys and I are off to my sis in laws for a bbq although that decision was made yesterday when the sun was shining - it is currently raining. That bbq could turn into a roast dinner - not fussy just happy not to be cooking. I am hoping I have news to share on the blog tomorrow as to which layering dies I own! Fingers crossed.
Wherever you are and however you are spending your day I hope this Mothering Sunday is a happy one x

Absolutely stunning card and has a wedding feel for me. Love it and its right up there as one of my all time favourites. Difficult day for me without mum as well as its still quite raw, but time is healing the pain. March has all sorts of anniversaries so not the best month, but my crafting has helped along with all the inspiration provided by you and others.
