For You

Hi bloggers!  Changing gears for this one to gilding flakes!  I started by cutting the Celtic Square background out of black card.  I covered another piece of black card with a sticky adhesive sheet and added the background over the top of it.  I used the Sunlight Speckle Gilding Flake and applied it using a piece of rubit scrubit pad to refine and remove the excess flakes.  I cut one more background out of white card and nipped away four pieces of it and mounted it onto another piece of card with sticky adhesive sheet on it.  I used the same process applying the gilding flakes.  I mounted it in a diamond orientation in the centre of the card.  I used the For You Shadowed Sentiment and seated it in the centre.  Using the Striped Nasturtiums, I made three white glittered flowers and added them in opposite corners of the card.  I used Fern Fronds as accents around them.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7" in size.  All for now Sue x

    Morning Sue. Only a crafter would appreciate the true beauty behind the photography. A crafting newbie wouldn't know how gorgeous guilding flakes look but after you sharing this absolutely beautiful sample with us maybe it will make them curious enough to try them.     Gilding flakes are such a wonderful product to use on your cards. They give such a regal elegance whenever and wherever they are used that looks like it took hours to create. The die used in today's card is perfect for showing off how fabulous they are.

    Stunning card this morning and I love seeing your cards when you have added some gilding flakes . Adding the black card really makes the card pop as well all know the flakes are so much more beautiful in the flesh and finished beautifully with the Nasturtiums flower.

    the Striped Nasturtiums - haven’t seen them for a while - they’re gorgeous . The contrast of the white flowers against the elegant black and gold is striking.

    Hi Sue, I always like your cards with gilding flakes and although there is a lot of black here the white Nasturtiums and centrepiece lift it and make it seem less sombre. I think this design suits the Celtic Square Background perfectly.
