Thinking Of You

Hi bloggers!  Wisteria, white and a touch of black for today's offering! I started with a piece of wisteria card and embossed it with the Brambled Rose Embossing folder for texture.  I cut a strip of double pearls down the middle and added them to the top and bottom edges of the card.  For the focal element I cut the Avery die in white using the larger decorative edge, then added a think black decorative edge to it to set it apart.  I backed it with white and added mounting foam to the back.  I cut one more of the Avery die in white, but used the inner cutting edge.  I matted the inside section with wisteria card,  then put a larger black mat over it so it showed through the outer detail and nipped the die in half.  I seated the Avery halves horizontally to the outside of the focal die which I attached in a vertical manner in the centre of the card.  I cut the centre of the die in wisteria card for the base to my Think Of You sentiment.  I added three small flowers from the Chloe die set.  White, wisteria and black mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue. I don't know if it's my screen on my moby but it's not showing the real beauty of the Wisteria cardstock, it's such a shame as it's so pretty and delicate and goes with all the other purple shades and more as you've shown us here. The depth of the folder is stunning your photography details every beautiful layer and die to perfection. Thanks for sharing your endless inspiration every day, have a lovely day creating your amazing work xxx

  12. Hello Sue,

Such an elegant card today created with the Avery die, one of my favorites. I love all the curls and swirls and I've found that a lot of the waste can be used along with your floral elements for that "little extra" touch. She looks lovely sitting on the deeply embossed background. A real beauty.

    Have a wonderful day.

  14. Good Morning Sue. Gorgeous card today. I agree with Stephanie about the wisteria coloured card. It doesn't show the the true beauty of the colour on my tablet either. But I get the message. And I love the embossing folder...I think it's time I treated myself to a new one...errr...could be this little beauty lol. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone in. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

  39. Hi Sue. Such a lovely card today but I think it needs some of your lovely flowers. Perhaps you are showing us that you can still make lovely cards which have less dimension to help with postage costs, but I am missing seeing your lovely flowers though.
