For You

Hi bloggers!  For today's card,  started by cutting the Celtic Square Background out of coconut white card.  I left a wide border around it and backed it with Thistle Feltmark card (one of our new card colours). Next I cut the Eliza die in white and backed it in black.  I used the centre die from the set and cut a frame of out the Thistle card and added a black backing.  I raised it with foam and added it to a white circle then glued the For You sentiment in it.  I added it to the centre of the Eliza die with foam.  Next I cut each size of the Petal Pocket Flowers in white.  I edges them with Shaded Lilac ink and assembled them.  I added black centres with pearls and glued the in opposite corners.  I embellished them with white Fern Fronds.  The card was completed with white, Thistle and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    Hi Sue from a really cold Lancashire. The Celtic background dies make the perfect pretty base to build a focal point and the Eliza die is small enough to highlight how pretty the background is. Although I can't fit anymore packs of Foundation card on my shelf, I can't resist trying the Feltmark cardstock for much longer it would be bad manners not to and I'm a stickler for good manners lol. I sure hope it's a lot warmer where you are right now Sue, seems like my winter hibernation should start soon !! Enjoy your day xxx

    Such a stunning card this morning and a lovely collection of dies . I have not tried feltmark card and the colour Thistle looks stunning and really woks beautifully with celtic background. Its lovely to see the petal pocket flowers finish the card.

    This is why I love your dies you can make cards as simple or as intricate as you want. I was finding it difficult to get back into card making since losing mum but yesterday I cut some 6x6card blanks,got out my dies and in no time made 4 cards so thank you Sue
