Hi crafters! I started this card with the background. I selected a piece of green card (from my stash) and used the
Wavy mask with
Sea Green Ultra Sparkle Texture paste through it. After it dried, I added an Octagonal frame around it using the
Double Stitched Octagon die set. For the focal element, I used the
Sophia die and cut it in white. I cut the centre out and raised it with mounting foam. I cut the centre of the die and recessed it into the centre of the Sophia. I cut a small octagonal frame and used the
Hello/Hi mini expression for my sentiment. I used the same Ultra Sparkle texture paste on the sentiment before gluing it in the middle of the card. I cut two more of the centres of the Sophia die and cut them in half. I tucked the pieces along the corners of the large Octagon frame. I used the
Passion Flower to make a scrunched flower. I added some glue to the edges and glittered it with
Iced Snow. I seated it on a satin ribbon bow and added leaves around it. White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card with many design elements. I always love your recessed designs. The look of your scrunched up Passion Flower Die cut surprised me in how beautiful the finished flower looks. I did not think this die would make this type of flower. Using pieces of the Sophie Die cut to surround your Double Stitched Octagon makes for an interesting design. Thanks for sharing your creations.
ReplyDeleteThe green background is so pretty and really lifts the card.
