I Do

Hello crafters!  Need a nice wedding card?  I think this one will fill the bill!  I started with a piece of milk card and embossed it with the Swirling Hearts embossing folder.  I used Spun Sugar Distress ink around the edges for a soft pink hue.  I matted it with black then cut a smaller set of rectangles using the Double Stitched Rectangles set B out of milk and black  I inked the milk card to tone in with the background.  I cut a pair of champagne flutes out of milk card and the I DO out of milk and black card.  I crossed the flutes then added the bow from the Happy Easter Egg set and added the sentiment with the black shadow next to it.  In both of the opposite corners, I used the Passion Flower die set and inked the backing with Spun Sugar before assembling.  Tiny pearls were added to the centres then I seated the large flower on a silk bow and added leaves to all the flowers.  Milk mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

I love this card, its stunning . The soft hint of pink works beautifully on the card from the heart embossing folder and beautiful font of the sentiment. The passion flowers and messy bow just finish the card of.

  9. What a beautiful start to the week. I've had the champagne flutes and sentiment cut out and lying on my table for a few weeks now with the intention of making a wedding card to restock my market cards but had an order or two so they had to be put on hold, so today is the day and thank you for the inspiration. Unfortunately I don't have the folder you used or flowers but I know how I'm going to show the glasses and sentiment, and as you've given us many pretty flower dies in the past I'm not short of a floral element. Looking forward to the rest of the week's inspiration if today's is anything to go by ☺
    Have a good day xxx

  12. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such an amazing keepsake for any bride and groom to receive, something to treasure over the years when looking back over their married life, yes I like this very much indeed. I am in the middle of doing my niece's wedding favors and this card would go really nicely with them.

  21. Who knew the Easter basket bow could handle as adult a job wedding bow! It looks perfectly lovely around the champagne flutes. Maybe growing up in an Easter basket around all those rabbits taught that bow a thing or two about love. It probably does work better than this year’s festive Silver Bells bow.

Best wishes on everyone having a lovely week. Late summer is when we get our state back from the tourists, and the ocean is at its warmest, but we all know what’s just around the corner, and now that it has cooled off a little, I wonder if we have had our fill of complaining about the heat this year.

Beautiful card but not sure about the black. I'm a huge black card fan but think this may have a softer appeal with either gold/silver or a toned pink/peach colour rather than the black. However as its such a beautiful card will be using for inspiration and having a go with alternatives - hoping to be proved wrong and the the black is the best ... Thanks for sharing

Good morning Sue and all the lovely Wilsonettes.
A truly beautiful card Sue. I love the mix of colours and the tranquil look of the finished card.
I don't think I will be making any wedding cards this year although one of my Grandsons may surprise me.
Maybe I should make one just in case.
Hope you are feeling better Yvonne.
    Hugs.
