Another angel card for my second selection. I started with a piece of milk card as my background colour. I cut the Mosaic Bauble Frame twice, once out of milk and once out of black. I used the black as a shadow for the frame. I cut the two longer sides off of the frame and added a backing piece to both strips using milk card coated with enchanted gold gilding polish. I added mounting foam and placed them diagonally in opposite corners, trimming the edges even with my background. Next I cut the Starburst die out of milk card covered with the same gilding polish. I added a black backing then attached it in the centre with foam. I cut the Christmas Angel 2018 out of black card and milk card. The black card was on top so it cut everything out and the milk card was underneath so it cut a nice outline. I attached the two and mounted her in the centre of my starburst. I cut a Tis The Season in black and added it in the lower left corner. In the opposite corner, I added some pearl swirls and startbursts as accents. Milk and black mats were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 9" in size. All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue, where did the week go ? It seems no time at all since the last festive double day but I'm not complaining ohh no certainly not, I look forward to the next and the next, but for obvious reasons (a 3yr old grand-daughter) yes 3 already it has to be your cute snowman that wins my heart. I really must make this the next die I save for as I need more cards for the youngsters to add to my selection and I know that this little guy will raise a smile let's face it, how can you not smile when you see a beautiful cute card like this 😊 thank you for today's inspirational idea's on how to give pleasure to family and friends round the globe xxx

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, 2 very different cards but both deserve their day on the blog, oh I do like double days. The first one is so cute especially the sentiment words - I can imagine my 7 year old granddaughter laughing at this one. The second is using the wonderful Angel die, looks so effective with the milk and black card, different to your traditional all white card but I like it too.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Hello Sue,

Can’t believe it’s Friday again & another twofer! While I like both cards it has to be the snowman for me, while the children love them I think adults still like the tradition of a snowman on Christmas cards. Suits all ages. Thank you Sue. Hope to see you at the weekend.

Hi Sue, two great cards today and although they are totally different in style they are equally lovely. I really like the milk card with gilding polish and I must try using my mosaic frame for something other than a frame as I like the effect. The snowman is such a happy chap and would put a smile on anyone's face. I hope you enjoy your time at Ally Pally.

The starburst is like the angel’s glory. And the pearl swirl indicates the value of her message. She gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteThe melting heart sentiment is the reason I bought both the snowman and the snowball frame sets. This card could just as well be used for Valentine’s Day.
Thanks for the double today!
