Good Sunday morning all! I thought I would start slipping in a few Christmas cards here and there now that we are over half way through the year!
I started by cutting the Mosaic Frame three times out of white card. I backed two of them with Antique Gold card and one with white card. I cut the centres out of all of them, then cut off the two longer sides on each of them frames. I added mounting foam to two of the gold ones and raised them and then alternated the white and gold ones flat in the centre. I cut the 2018 Christmas Angel in black with a gold piece of card behind to create the outline, then glued the black out line on top of it and mounted her on the right side of the card with foam. I cut two Swirled Silent nights in black and stacked them and glued it into place. I cut two antique gold poinsettias and seated them on a white satin bow in the lower corner. White, antique gold and black mats and layers completed the card. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a dramatic effect you have created with your card today. The angel in black and gold is stunning. It is amazing how changing the colors and the textures used on the angel give such a different feel to the card. The background created using the Mosaic Bauble Background is really unique.
Have a wonderful Sunday and try to stay cool.

Morning Sue. Vintage gold - my go to cardstock for festive and those celebration cards that needs more luxury than the every day occasion cards. I'm not an angel kind of person but I think she's my favourite design so far. An unusual festive design but still lovely all the same ☺ thanks again for a lovely start to the day and hope your Sunday is a lovely day too xxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I love Christmas so seeing all these wonderful samples really inspires me and spurs me on to make my cards.

Hi Sue, my apologies for being AWOL yesterday, as they say 'life got in the way'. I have just watched the video and was most interested to see the double masking making the background. Today's card is quite striking with the mosaic background (which I have not long received and am looking forward to playing with) and your beautiful angel and poinsettias in the antique gold card are lovely.
ReplyDeleteFrances

Never too early for your Christmas cards Sue, I have been trying to make one special one per month all year for family and besties and almost keeping up lol !! I also make 5 per month for the small ones to post and give to trivia team members, friends and keeping up with that too, last year I had such a mad rush at the last moment, never again !
