Season's Greetings

Hi there crafters!  I really do need to start showing some Christmas cards, even though you might not be ready to see them!  You will thank me later if you start on them now so hopefully here is some inspiration for you!  I started with the Poinsettia Quilt mask on a piece of ruby red card.  I used the Red Ultra Sparkle texture paste through it and set it aside to dry well.  Next I cut  a white frame for it using the Double Pierced Noble Squares and added it with foam over the dry background.  I cut two of the Poinsettia Garland die in white and added red flowers and glued the, into opposite corners.  I cut the Season's Greeting die in white and glued it to the centre of the card.  White and red mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  7. Morning Sue. A new week and a beautiful rich sample to start it with one that would have pride of place in anyone's home, although before you get to the end of the festive samples it's a statement I'll use more than once because all of your samples would take pride of place ☺
Thanks to a wet blustery cold day yesterday market went great and I can now collect my craft goodies on hold from my craft shop and treat myself to one of the many new dies I've needed since launch but which one, maybe the baby rattle, I just can't decide, but thanks for giving me the tools and inspiration that enabled me to sell well yesterday xxx

  13. Hello Sue and all
Never too early for your Christmas cards Sue and this one is a great example of why. The red glitter paste looks fabulous and of course anything poinsettia, keep the inspiration coming I say 😁
A little rain here today at last, it has been a very dry winter and the drought is terrible for our farmers, I hope it lasts a bit longer

  18. Plug your ears, all you poinsettia lovers, and go, “lalala” so you don’t hear what I’m about to say. This card might have benefitted from some other flower that is not a poinsettia being used for the floral element. The poinsettias in the quilt pattern of the mask seem more like the stars you see made of triangles on a quilt, and these are so narrow tthat one might not even think poinsettia. That was the appeal to me. If only we had one of those cluster corners of a Christmas rose. Okay, you can unplug your ears now.

Beautiful card! Double festive with the red on red.

I might have overdosed on Christmas inspiration. Did it always used to be like this, where the new releases starting in June are almost exclusively Christmas? I have enough to last the rest of my life and into the retro steampunk future, when Santa ties his sleigh to a rocket.

I wonder how the reindeer feel about fracking.

Well, enjoy your bank holiday. Is this one attached to any occasion?

    Best,
    Donita

  39. Beautiful I love this card. I belong to a facebook group called MOCCEWT and our aim is to make one Christmas card every week throught the year which means if we only do the one we end up with 52 cards by the time we need to be posting. So I am used to seeing Christmas cards all year round and it means my Christmas stamps and dies do not lie unused and unloved most of the year round as they once did.

    Hugs Helen xx

  53. Good Afternoon Sue. I am sorry for missing the comments again. We were on our second festival for August again in the middle of a farmer's field with no WiFi connection whatsoever.
Beautiful card today Sue.... love the poinsettias dies and stamps and your sample is gorgeous. Will be back to normal for a few weeks now until our holiday. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

  54. Very pretty card. I do love that background and I will admit to making a few Christmas cards already when I normally wait until November or late October after finishing my Halloween cards. There are just so many great Christmas products coming our way and as I love making cards I may as well try out new techniques on Christmas cards. I make a lot of different ones, different styles to fit different people .
Donita, the Poinsettia dies can look like other flowers, be different colors, etc. I am not particularly fond of the real flower and like the different colored ones better. Christmas does come earlier each year, I do agree but I guess if you make a ton of cards one must get to it and I remember when it took forever for certain products to actually get in local stores (trickle down to us). I think logistics are better now.
Everyone, hope your Monday is a good one and leads into a great week,

  61. Hello Sue
This is a stunning card keep them coming.I don't batch make cards so I need as much help as possible.
Donita I don't think there is a special reason for our August bank holiday apart from it marks the end of our summer and school children go back to school in England so it is the last chance for family to have time together.

  63. Beautiful and elegant card. Too early to think about X-mas? My answer is yes, BUT all your ideas are so welcome. At least I know that I have tons of cards where I can find inspiration for this year X-mas, next year X-mas and so on. I tried to resist and not to order any more X-Mas dies BUT ... soon I will be the proud owner of at least half, of your this June Festive release.
Do you plan another release next month?
    Hugs from Toronto,
    Carmen-Dorothy
