Yupo Background Card

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's video shows me having a play with some Yupo paper and alcohol inks.  This paper has been designed to react with the inks in a wonderful and fabulous way.  It makes for a really interesting background.

The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  6. Morning Sue. Hope you managed to celebrate in your own way here for Independence Day yesterday and that our friends over the pond are recovering well lol. Now onto this dramatic beautiful sample, I'm really looking forward to the tutorial if it's similar to the demo you and Hayley did a few months ago where you both had so much fun then I can't wait ☺ this fabulous choice of colours shows just how pretty your dies are. In the middle of changing your shirt into a young ladies summer top for a birthday card I've been asked for but not sure if my 'skills' are really up to such change lol.
Sending hugs and hope your day is a nice day xxx

  18. Oh, I so really really like the whole yupo concept! Your demo with the two blues, a green and a yellow really looks fabulous. I bought a little package of Yupo from somewhere and apparently put it in a "safe place." You know, the magic door to the land of the lost.

You had me going there for a minute. I heard you say chipped sapphire, and I wondered if that was one of the new colors, because I was pretty sure I didn't have that particular red. Wasn't I surprised to see that it was blue!

I sure do love those little flowers with a rosebud center.

Thank you for this especially informative video.

    Best to all,

    Donita

  46. Hi Sue, a lovely card and the Poppy die is so pretty and I love the tiny flower created from it. I remember seeing you play with the Yupo paper on TV but I think today's video shows it more clearly - maybe because I am closer to the screen lol. I will have to think seriously about purchasing some Yupo because the background you have created is beautiful, it reminds me of a really full mixed border flower bed and I do love playing with my alcohol inks. Thank you for the inspiration.
