Just Wanted To Say

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's card shows you how to use the Flora die in a different sort of way!  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card that I cut on the diagonal using the Heart Scrolls embossing folder.  I added mounting foam to the backs of both pieces and added it to a piece of Cobalt Blue card, leaving a two inch gap between the diagonal pieces.  Next I cut two of the Flora dies in white and started to nip off the floral fingers coming out from the centre.  I reassembled them into the diagonal gap I left open and added 3mm white pearls to the centres of all the flowers.  I cut both the Just Wanted To Say and the Happy Birthday Mini Expressions in Cobalt blue several times, then stacked them, added a black shadow and glued them to the top and bottom portions of the card.  Cobalt Blue and Coconut White card mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hello Sue,

What a creative way of using the Flora die, you would never know that it started out as a circle. The blue and white together is so clean and bright but there is also a delicacy to the card. Just lovely.

    Have a wonderful day.

  25. Hi Sue

This is a great way to show off how dies are not always what they seem, to be able to transform a circle into a decorative panal is just amazing.

  39. How many of us would see the Flora die and think of using it to fill a diagonal stript? Exactly one of us, and that one is you, our fearless Sue Wilson.

Yesterday I was trying to make a flip card with the label shape from the Natalie die set in the Festive collection. For a Belated Father's Day card. I want the label to spell out DAD on one side and WOW on the other. Haven't quite mastered the flip technology yet, but I'm getting closer.

Once again tonight, however, I fell asleep while trying to think of what to say next, and my iPad fell Hit me in the forehead and woke me up. So goodnight Fair Crafters, and Happy Friday.
