Just For you

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's card is a very sweet and simple one.  I started by cutting the Chloe die out of coconut white card.  I added mounting foam around the back edge.  On another piece of coconut white card, I added a sticky adhesive sheet.  I cut the Just for You sentiment from the Isobel die and peeled the backing paper off then placed my sentiment down.  I filled in with Frosted Sparkle glitterbitz then centred the sentiment behind the aperture in the Chloe die.  I cut a frame using the Double Stitched Rectangle die set and added it with foam.  Next I cut a bunch of the small flower dies from the Chloe set and added pearls to the centres and added them to several of the flowered areas in the Chloe die as accents.  I completed the card with white and raspberry mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are  6" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  17. So very simple, but so delicate and elegant. I didn't even notice you had done the tiny flowers with pearls, and the sentiment in frosted sparkle glitterbitz. Did you use red paper? Or do frosted sparkle glitterbitz come in colors?

I have moved crafting operations into the air conditioned bedroom. I can't have everything set up all the time, so I bring in one station and try to do everything with that, then bring in the next. An interesting little cardboard piece that protected some part of the AC in shipping is perfect for holding up my iPad so I can watch Hochanda while crafting.

My cousin's son in Arizona is now an Eagle Scout, and I promised to make thank you notes. I do have a selection of flying eagle dies, but I'm winging the rest -- using an embossing folder for the sun's rays, Christmas tree sections for snow caps and mountains, a river made of ripples and the mini-sentiment Thank You on what I hope is an eagle feather in the foreground. All inside a Sue Wilson frame. Maybe a stamped campfire scene inside.

I never did get to work on Sunday. My assignment was a fire that destroyed a Waldorf school about two miles as the crow flies from my house, and I was on schedule to arrive at the smoking ruins for my starting time. Suddenly I felt queasy and thought I should have a cracker, then found myself, as they say, yodeling down the porcelain canyon. Or in my case, the kitchen wastebasket. After that, a strong desire to not move for about six hours. So they had to send a reporter from the main office, 35 minutes away, and pay her overtime.

I hope the beginning of your workweek is better than mine was.

    Best,
    Donita

Well I know this is going to sound weird but this card is so sweet it made me think about Sugar Mice!! Which in case you don't have them in the States are mice with string tales and are made out of pink or white solid icing sugar. Mmm! Took me back to my childhood as we always got one when we were poorly LOL! I wonder if anyone else remembers them.......

However I digress back to the card which is simply lovely I think this is such a sweet pretty card and sentiment to let someone know you care.

I'm happy to report that, 10 months to the day, we paid our general contractor the last of his money for finishing the work on our home from Hurricane Irma damage. Just in time for the new hurricane season. UGH!!! Now I hope to get back to some crafting that I sorely have missed. First project, use the "Here's The Scoop" set that you sent me. I hope I haven't forgotten how to make a card LOL

You are the sweetest person, Sue. Thanks for everything you do for us out here in the crafting world.

While it may be a very simple card, it is very delicate and yet it is elegant as well. The Chloe die makes such a beautiful card with very little effort because the die does all the work. The sparkle that you have added, a few delicate flowers and little pearls and you don't need anything else because it's perfect.
