Pixied Leaves Card

Hi bloggers!  Today's video uses the Pixie powdered leaves that were used in a previous video as a resist for another background.  Waste not, want not I always say!

The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  5. Hello Sue, a very striking card because of the leaf colours against the white, and a great way to use the die cuts left from another card. Off to watch the video. Have a great day everyone. Bx

  7. Morning Sue. I'm probably getting repetitive now but I do love the colours of Autumn - although I know we could fill this Bushel basket with many of the floral dies you've bought to us in spring/summer colour scheme but there's something about the basket that makes it cry out for leaves, fruit or vegetables. I'm fortunate to own both the basket and the garden tools but I'm missing the leaves 😢 there are now soo many various backgrounds now to chose from so these 'older' backgrounds get lots in the past so its really lovely to see the resist technique again, one I've not done in a couple of years. This sample is just gorgeous and I'm looking forward to watching the tutorial at some point this morning. Hope your prep work for the weekend is going well it would be great if I could go one year but it's just too far to travel for me - never mind that's life.
So although you'll be very busy, it's all for something you love and to give those that admire you a great weekend watching you do what you love most, have an enjoyable day xxx

  24. Hi Sue,

Those Pixied leaves are wonderful, so much sparkle and shine even without the glittered background....I must say that I really love the "no waste" dies from your collections, there are some wonderful designs and the best bit is of course that there is no waste!...

  29. Lovely card. As you said, 'waste not, want not'.... this shows beautifully what one can do with waste from a previous card.

Like others I am waiting for it to warm up and for green leaves to appear. I moved into my house thirty years again and there were a mass of daffodils out in full bloom. Over the past few years they have bloomed earlier and earlier. This year? Still in bud. Roll on spring.

  30. Hi Sue. Great idea for using up those leftovers. This card really brings to life those autumn days of raking up all those leaves in the garden. Still I don't have to do that job anymore since I have moved to a flat.

  38. Good Morning Sue. Lovely card Sue. And I remember those leaves that were left over. It's lovely to watch what you did with them instead of just telling us. I have watched the video and what a brilliant job you have done with them. I would class this as a man card with a different sentiment. I will file it away with my "other man things" Always good to fall back on. We have a brighter morning today..... just hope we don't have anymore rain or we might all be swimming in Lynnes pool at the bottom of her garden ha ha lol. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.
