April 2018 Die release / Daisy Stained Glass die

Hello there my crafty friends!  While it feels like just yesterday that we were here, it has been three months, can you believe it!  There are some lovely dies in this April 2018 release to share with you, in fact, I was having trouble deciding even where to start!  Before I give you the die rundown, I want to remind you that every post will have one set of the dies to give away (as always), but remember to make your name on your comment memorable in some way so there will not be any question that it is your name that has been drawn out.  Please add more than just a first name!!  Try adding your city or a funny alias or nickname, just something that no one else would use.  One comment per post please, but feel free to leave a comment on each and every die post (the more posts you leave comments on, the more chances you have to win one, right!)   The winners will be drawn and announced in the afternoon on April 27th.
On to the die now, this post is showcasing the new Daisy Stained Glass die.  I have really loved the Stained Glass collection, but this is probably going to be the last one as there are so many in the line now.  I just love the simplicity of this one, it is perfect for so many techniques, especially paper piecing with it's larger sections.  Shown here with Pixie powders and medium sized micro beads, you can see what a quick card you can make but with lovely results!  Leave your comment to be entered in this drawing and the next post will be here at noon today.  All for now, Sue x

    Good morning Sue,

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of your new collection. We have been teased by opportunities of pre-order sales and I can’t wait for mine to come!

I love to check your blog post everyday to see what you have created for us as inspiration and today is no exception. As I’ve said before, my heart goes to anything floral so your first post today is a keen ‘must have’ for me. It’s just beautiful!

See you later and craft hugs til then,

Love, Nanny JooJoo from sunny Scunny xx

  29. Always one of my favourite type of dies to use because of how you can make and use backgrounds also or paper piece with them or use the cosmic shimmer products to create lovely designs and the stained glass effect. Really great die to start with and i have a soft spot for mosaics so in a way makes me think of that too. x

  40. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, is it really 3 months since the last release, well all I can say is that you have started off with a super duper one, I have all your stained glass dies so this one would complete the collection, I especially like this one because of the paper piercing that you can do, I love doing that technique, but you have shown how to use the pixie powders and micro beads on this which is amazing. Good Luck to everyone. Looking forward to the next sample x

  44. Hello Sue,

What a lovely start to the April die launch - love everything about this card from the bubbly micro-beaded background to the natural simplicity of the daisies just cut in plain white to contrast with the blues.

I love your Stained Glass dies, they are so versatile and provide lots of fun playtime trying out different effects such as you've used here as well as paper piecing or glittering and are also go-to dies for that last-minute "forgot a birthday" panic make!...so I hope you were only kidding when you say that this will be the last Stained Glass designs, you've barely scratched the surface, especially as there are so many more florals that would work, still lots of birdies that would work, transport ideas with planes, cruise liners, trains, etc. etc.....please say you'll have a re-think!....pretty please....lol

Beautiful card and die which is so versatile. Your card is gorgeous as it is today with the PP's and microbeads
but it would also look stunning if paper pieced using so many different colour combinations.

But hey ho what a start...... today's card is lovely, and.... although I am not a fan of the stained glass dies.... I think if I was lucky enough ..... I could be converted with this one. 58. Welcome April Die Release! Our first treat is a crowd pleaser. You can't go wrong with Pixie blues and stained glass. This one makes me itch to paper-piece. I agree with the majority opinion, that you can't have too many in the stained glass range, even if it's only one new one a year. And especially if the borders are interchangeable.

It's so nice being enticed by beautiful things that we want and save for and eventually get if we work hard enough. I feel almost sorry for people who don't have the pleasure in life of wishing and hoping and eventually being fulfilled. I remember wishing for more choices when all I had access to were the same Spellbinders dies carried by the big chains. Now you keep us happy anew every three or four months.

To distinguish me from all the other Donita's, I'm the one in Rhode Island, on the East Coast of the U.S.

    All the best!

  64. I really like this die, but I do prefer when the stained glass is coloured. Just a white flower and a green stem, leaving the rest blue would have been more to my taste. Hi Sue,
Wow, it's "treat time" for all the Wilsonettes and those who are going to join the league of your fans. And what a great start to the launch, we all need quick cards every now and then and this fits the bill perfectly. The pixie background in blue is very striking but I can see this card with the golden mint and gold, to banish the grey dark morning here.
Looking very much forward to your next offerings, I know they'll be beauties.
