Get Well

Hello there my crafty friends!  I just love me some sunflowers, don't you!!  They are just cheery sort of flowers so I thought they would be perfect for a get well card.  I started by cutting a bunch of the flowers in different sizes out of straw yellow card.  I covered a piece of milk card with a sticky adhesive sheet and attached all the flowers to the background.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to fill in the areas in between the flowers.  Next I cut a multi layered frame using the Double Pierced Noble Oval die sets.  The top frame was cut out of milk card and the outer shadow frame was cut from Chestnut Brown card.  I attached it with foam in the centre of the card and added three more sunflowers around it with some green leaves as accents. The centres of the flowers were all coated with Dark Bronze polished silk glitter.   The get well sentiment from the Feel Better Soon die set was cut out of chestnut brown card with a milk card shadow and then glued into the centre of the frame.  Milk, brown and straw yellow mats and layers were used to complete the card.  the finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, sorry about not commenting yesterday about both your beautiful rainbow and and the inspirational Lessons of Life, but we couldn't access the Wi-Fi due to weather conditions and the fact that we were staying in a peaceful but out of the way B&B. So, now I can play 'catch up'.I remember the effect those lessons had on me when you first showed them to us but it's good to be able to take time out to ponder them again and again as life can get in thevway sometimes. Your dad sounds a lovely man.
Thank you for the pretty sunflowers card today and all your inspiration. Hugs xx Pauline in S.A.

  72. Hello Sue,
Today’s post doesn’t sound like you! Maybe it’s just me but I’ve thought that a few times.
A lovely card but I’m not a massive fan of sunflowers - a friend of mine loves them! However it’s a very cheerful , springlike card and I like how you have done the Sentiment. The background too is very clever.
Pat - I’m home!!! We are home! The sun shone for the first time in more than a week! We had a good journey home despite it being Friday,
Thanks for caring , my friend! ( no sign of Elvis). Lol!!
Donita - you were brief today as Frances said , maybe just tired! Sending love to you!
Laine - you are missing again and I do hope you are not ill! I suspect you are though , otherwise you would be commenting! Sending love to you too!
Miss so many people - but nice to see you today Anne Crawford ! I miss you !
