Bundle Of Joy

Hi bloggers!  How's this for a lovely new arrival card?  I selected two shades of pink from my stash but it would work in any colours that you needed.  I started by cutting the Alphabet Grid in white and attaching just the grid part to a sticky adhesive sheet.  Next I cut it again in both pale pink for the outlines and in a darker pink for the letters.  There were several letters that I needed extra ones of so I just put a small piece of card over those letters.  I spelled out "Baby Bundle of Joy" and filled in all the letters, then sprinkled Diamond Snow on the remaining adhesive areas.  I cut a thin frame using the Stitched Pegboard Frames and attached it with foam over the background.  Using the Pinwheel Florals, I made three flowers and added a bit of Spun Sugar to the centres of each of them.  I accented the flowers with white leaves from the set too.  White and dark and light pink mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Morning Sue. I agree it's a beautiful way to welcome a new beautiful innocent life and could be used for that special baby boy or girl. I have the new alpha grid on my list as I go to your Art Deco alpha dies all the time but would love a simple font for those times a more CAS card is needed.
Looking forward to watching my skating buddies competing at the Winter games later her first big competition since major surgery on her knee - Team GB. Hope your day is a good one and look forward to watching you demo really soon xxx

What a great card for those that aren't into the cute type of baby cards but it is still so pretty. I haven't used my alphabet grid set yet but am now well enthused to have a go.
Back from the week end away, still in the 30s deg C but have unpacked and caught up on your videos from the last few days, particularly love the sycamore leaves card, we are waiting for autumn as much as you in the northern hemisphere are waiting for spring!

You certainly know how to ring the changes to keep us on our toes - from yesterday's dark and artful IC sample to today's clean and simply stylish pink and white for a new arrival...the Alphabet Grid is still on the list but the Pinwheel Flowers should be arriving today so I can have a little play with them this afternoon hopefully...

  41. My favorite part of this card is the pink showing through the zazzle of the flower, and then a pink pearl on top. I can see how the alphabet grid could adapt to any occasion with different words, colors and embellishments. If you could only get one die set, that one’s probably the most versatile. I bet you could even make flowers and leaves with some of the letters, if you cut enough of them.

    Best,
    Donita

Yes morning - its a shock to me as well!!
    Love today's card x
The alphabet grid is such a brilliant addition to my stash. It is so versatile. The ability to use the grid itself is ingenious. I have used the letters to spell out personalised messages in 'scrabble style' formation. Incredibly simple but always a winner x
Thanks for your concern everyone - never my intention to overdo things. Plan of action today - card for Laine. This card is going to be all singing all dancing with whistles and bells. Hopefully it will be worth the wait x
Grey skies today but not to worry - we have Sue on our screens on Friday and Saturday so it can snow for all I care x
