Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's card giveaway was from a demo I did on my last Hochanda shows.  I started with some Blue Dusk card and used the Double Stitched Noble Hexagons to cut an aperture.  Next I used another piece of Blue Dusk card and cut the decorative die from the Classic Adorned Noble Hexagon into the card.  I backed it with white card, then attached the aperture over it with foam.  I cut the inner decorative die from the Lavish Accented Hexagons in white, backing it in black.  I added it with foam to the centre of the card, then cut the Victoria die in white and attached it across the centre.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with a hexagon, adding a thin black mat before adding it to the centre of the card.  Next I used the Stitched Pegboard Frames to add a white frame around the entire card and topped that with a black and Blue Dusk multi layered frame from the same set.  In the lower corner I added a floral element made from the Pinwheel Floral die set with leaf accents.  the flower was created by inking the centres, spritzing water and scrunching.  White, black and Blue Dusk card mats and layers completed the card.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  Leave your comment to be entered into the drawing to win this one.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

  11. Dear Sue and Friends,

That Victoria, she can still turn heads even when surrounded by so much hexagon glamour.

Luckily, we'll all have this sample to consult if we ever get our hands on paper in such lovely blues.

Stephanie Cotterill, it might save you some aggravation if you copy your comment before you post so if you lose it, you can paste what you wrote the first time.

Ooh I do like this one!! It’s gorgeous and I love my hexagons! I’m also a great lover of blue and white and the touch of black just sets it off beautifully. Many thanks! I’ve had a peek too! I’m far too nosey not to!! Well maybe not nosey - interested!! Lol! Some really interesting Dies and stamps!
Pat L - you asked about Maureen . Maureen is fine but she has had a very busy time as a niece has had twin girls . She has been busy visiting, making cards for all relevant parties and she said yesterday when I told her you were asking that she would not come back today as it was a Give Away Day and that wouldn’t be right! Sarah is still in her thoughts and prayers . Thank you for asking! I haven’t heard from Norah recently so can’t give an update there.
Pam hope your Internet problem gets solved very soon!
    Well done June!
PP - great to see you back! Just take care . We miss you.
Elaine - miss you too! Rosemary you too!

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes.
What an exquisite card you have on here Sue,it is beautiful beyond words. If I had seen it before my day out yesterday I'm sure I would have bought all the dies.
My rare day out yesterday was wonderful after I got over the shock of finding a tile from my roof lying in bits on the floor. My little 2 week old Great Granddaughter is so beautiful and I felt so blessed to hold her in my arms. Poor little thing has an ear infection and is already on antibiotics. I didn't know they gave them to babies so young.
As far as the rest of the day went I'm sure you can all imagine that I felt like a child in a Christmas shop and yes Frances it was great. . I'd love to tell the whole story but I suppose this is not the right place to do so.
Like everyone else Pam, I miss your daily posts and hope you will soon be back.
    Love to all.
    Marie P.
