Still More Christmas Cards

Merry Christmas Eve to all!  Still more Christmas cards to share (hence the title! LOL)  I bet you can't wait for it to be over! I promise only one more day to go.  I would love it if you get a chance to stop by and say hi today and tomorrow, but I know that everyone will be quite busy with their Christmas festivities if not.  I hope you will enjoy some of today's offerings!  All for now, Sue x

  1. What a treat Sue, you have really pushed the boat out this weekend, gorgeous. So beautiful all ofthem.
Wherever you are at Christmas Sue I wish you a wonderful festive season, plenty of rest, loads of happiness and a very successful 2018.
Elaine what a nightmare you had, I called into the supermarket for a few things yesterday, managed to get parked okay, not too bad in the aisles and had the same problem as you, kept running into the same Chinese family whose little boy was bursting with excitement and getting in the way. She kept glaring at me as I smiled at his hapoy little face. I feel so sorry for the staff though, they are constantly on the go . No need to go today thank goodness. I'm at Kelly's for breakfast with the twins on Christmas Day and then Lesley's for lunch.
Good news on the heart valve, fingers crossed for Andrews results.
June, I hope your lovely brother settles in the care home, it should be more comfortable and less busy for him, and will put your mind at ease.
Crafty Jo, you do love the wind in your face, sending you anither virtual mince pie.
We have a chocolate Labrador in the family, Lola, she got into her mums shopping and ate a box of 18 mince pies, no wonder she is so fat, the family will remain thin with her in the house.
Thank you all for the lovely comments, I just don't sleep well so I'm always early.
For those of you travelling, safe journey, take care. To all if you I send my best wishes to the fantastic Wilsonnettes that you all have a very Hapoy Christmas and enjoy the times with friends and families. My Soecial wishes too to our poorly and missing friends, hope to see you soon.
A Soecial thought and prayer for Tracy's Graham, Mum, sister, family and friends, this will be a very difficult time for them. Blessings on you Tracy

  5. Hiya Sue. Another day of delights and why should we mind for goodness sake the more the better that's what I say, it's particularly useful for those crafters like me that spend more time looking blankly at a piece of card wondering where to go next than I do putting a card together ! So to have extra festive ideas for next year is nothing but a bonus, with more ideas for us to come before the New Year begins and the start of new die collections. I do love the cones on the one sample, it's a die I so need to buy, and again, there's just something about your Gingerbread guy/gal samples that just make you smile, the other samples are just so different to each other, a lesson in how to make everything come together and boy do I need a lesson or two, I'm stuck in a rut and not artistic minded enough to find my way out so you can throw as many different kind of samples at me and I'll never tier of them. No matter what time of year, I always have time to pop in and say "Hi" this is my 'quiet time' and my Particraft time and it's all mine while it's peaceful. But to those that know they can't make it tomorrow I wish you a lovely day full of laughter love and happiness with a touch of metal thrown in ๐Ÿ˜‰
As for you Sue, I'll send my usual love and hugs, and I'll be here as normal tomorrow to see what beauty you have on show for us ☺ xxx

  10. Dear Sue and Wilsonettes Around the World,

Today's samples sure deliver plenty of holiday cheer. I liked the pine cone tidings and the blue and white snowflake with a dark snowflake border/background.

    Hooray for you, Elaine!

Good for you Crafty Jo, giving yourself a good blast of wind therapy! And speaking of mince pies, I would imagine the best idea would be to leave that dog out in the yard for a week.

Thank goodness the stores are all closed Monday!

Merry, merry, happy, happy to you and yours, and warmth to all our beloveds on four feet.

    Love,
    Donita

  22. Hi Sue,

Yet more inspiration - I particularly loved the "other half" of yesterday's Card 3 - no waste!...

All the shopping done now, just the tree to put up and decorate, I'm a bit of a traditionalist in that way, - it goes up on Christmas Eve and down on 6th January...although it does take a while to get used to how plain and bare the house looks without all that sparkle and shimmer...lol

We are going to my sister's house for Christmas dinner tomorrow, with her husband and their daughters....two of the most wonderful nieces ever. We normally always stay at home at Christmas..... but when my sister invited us to go to hers this year we accepted..... she was over the moon and so exited. All we have had for the last few weeks are mini little phone calls ..... do you like this .. do you like that... does Jack (my hubby) drink this.. Will you have that and so on. She is so exited .. bless her. I am eleven years older than her so she is trying her best to make our Christmas as we have done in the past for them. I know she will do her utmost best to please us.
If I don't get the time in the morning I would like to wish this new family I belong to A very Merry Christmas.
And I hope we all get "that new die" that we have been hinting about in our stockings lol.
To you Sue a very special Thankyou and Happy Christmas. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Pam i did ok yesterday with the shop not half as busy and easier to get around, You are going to have a lovely day seeing your family i bet the twins are getting excited now . I have just general cleaning to do today and a dinner to prepare ready for Diva Dot my sister in law , she is the posh one of the family and was with the Welsh National Opera before she retired , { if she knew i got the mince pies from Aldi and not Tesco or Sainsburys she would not eat one } Lol this is why i call her DIVA Dot ,John Mary and Dot were split up when they were little, Dot was just a baby and went to a Posh family and had a good upbringing along with a good education , john stayed with his dad and ran around in clogs that hurt his feet and trousers with no bum in them .Mary was sent from piller to post and never in one place for very long bless her.Their childhood was so sad ,John found Mary when he was in his Twenties ,but didnt find Dot until he was 45 ,as she married and moved to Wales .

Eeeks i have taken too much time up and have to get on so i will echo Pam again today and wish Sue and all Wilsonetts a very Happy Christmas .

I too send thoughts and prayers to Tracy's Family and also Crewe Trish and anyone else who has lost a loved one .

  66. Oh, and I still haven't made those mince-pies! The sun was shining here again yesterday so, instead of running around like a lunatic 'preparing' (for one day!) I went out for a ride again :) Picked-up a dear friend of mine who has the same bike and we went to our local biker-haunt on the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen for a hot chocolate - did us both a lot of good. She'd just spent 3 hours trying to get the 'last few bits' in Asda, went there at 7am and it was heaving! I just don't understand this need to panic buy so much stuff...... ;) Thank you for the 'virtual mince-pie' Pam - I don't even like them myself but it's one tradition that I do have to keep up I guess :)

  76. Hi Sue, I am so happy because I can again read the comments and type one myself on my laptop. Hubby has spent time today changing my browser over for me. I expect I will soon get used to it. Anyway it means I can look at your lovely cards on the big screen which is so much better. I like all of today's offerings especially the fireplace, the pine cones and the gingerbread man. Like Izzy I saw the 'other half' of one of yesterday's cards and am pleased that I now have some idea of how you made it - I will be giving it a go soon.

I will definitely be visiting tomorrow but to all those that won't manage on I wish each and every one of you a happy Christmas that is filled with joy, love and laughter. Enjoy the family time or the peace and quiet if you can get any :-) I too will be thinking of Tracy's family and friends they will be missing her so much.

Good Christmas morning to Sue and all my blogger buddies. I've never been a blogger before and at my age (86) it's a bit like being an old dog trying to learn new tricks.
When did this blog begin and how many were bloggers at that time? Is there a video on the use of pixie powders? ( I seem to remember Sue demonstrating one) I could go on for ever asking questions but I don't think this is the place to do it. Anyone give me any advise?
I have loved seeing all of your fabulous cards Sue and you have my admiration and I offer you my heartfelt thanks for all the wonderful ideas.
I wish all of you a very happy Christmas and a new Year full of crafty things.

  91. Hello Sue, some of my favourite cards in this batch, well the dies and colours. I have used my "from our house" die on all our neighbours cards this year, and it looked lovely. Bx
