Merry & Bright Card

Hello crafters!  As we are now less than a week away, we are finishing up on all the Christmas card videos for the year. I think this is a nice end to them though with a pretty white on white card.  Hope you enjoy it too!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Gorgeous card Sue., absolutely stunning, I love it.
June H, so sorry to hear about your lovely brother, Oarkinsons is a dreadful disease, life is so unfair.
Ann, your line dancing sounds fun. Wonderful 93 yr old still dancing.
Pauline, I liked your idea to, would help get me started early .
My Chrustmas cake was a success, thank goodness. My HO heard about it and had 2 pieces, she loved it.
My blood pressure check yesterday showed a huge decrease, still not quite normal but looking better.
Donita, Dave is not left alone during the day he goes to work with Bryan who has his own business and from next week Kelly will be working there too, he is in the back office being spoiled.
Hugs to all, esoecially our poorly and missing friends.

  5. Morning Sue. WOW. Love this cool relaxing soothing sample. It's the kind of card that if it was the last make of the day before cleaning and tidying your work table ready to start again the following day it would leave you on a high and chomping on the bit ready to start again the following day. Wish I had days like that lol. Although during my re-stock marathon last week I made 4 CAS cards all the same using a festive die I inherited a few years ago but just changed the colour scheme and that kinda left me smiling as they turned out nicely. This collection of dies are just beautiful Sue and seen many many stunning cards on Paul's fb group that show how versatile they really are, boy, there's some extremely talented buddies there.
Today is my pre Christmas gift opening practice day and I know there will be some of your recent dies amongst them and I'm so excited (quietly hoping for your wooden barrow, pumpkin patch, maybe the new baby pram,) either would be so useful and loved as the other dies are that I own, so yes, I'll be like the cat that got the cream lol.
Thank you for sharing this gorgeous sample this morning Sue, I'm one happy bunny.
Sending love and hugs your way, hope your day will be as happy as mine will be, all thanks to you and your wonderful die collection xxx

  18. Dear Sue and Crafties,

Vellum and swirls, white on vellum-white, so beautiful! I just love watching you put everything together on video.

What do you guys mean by inserts? Do you mean the sentiments inside? Or the whole inside, if, like Sue, you make toppers rather than whole cards?

Kudos on the cake, Pam. And it's nice that Dave preferred your company to his usual company at his dad's company. Glad your BP went down so much.

Stephanie Cotterill, what do you mean pre-Christmas gift-opening practice day?! Does that mean you just couldn't wait? Who needs practice? You had practice last year! Or is this something the kids came up with so they didn't have to wait so long? Or are you really talking about Hanukkah? And I, too, would like to have back-to-back crafting days like you described.

Anyway, I hope Craft Santa brings you everything you whispered in his ear when you were sitting on his lap.

    Same for everybody here.

Beverly Fuchs, it would almost be worth being admitted to Johns Hopkins and having no visitors to get one of your cards!

I'm going to try making little penguins out of fresh mozzarella balls and jumbo black olives for our holiday potluck at work. Saw it on Facebook. One olive is the head? The other olive is cut almost in half and the mozzarella ball is stuck into it, like the penguin's white belly. Then you cut a little wedge out of a carrot slice to make the feet. Secure olives and cheese and carrot slice with a toothpick. Cut a sliver of carrot from the wedge and stick that into the top olive for the beak.

But I bought a shrimp ring in case the penguins don't work out.

Enjoy your festivities! Enjoy the pretty lights! Relegate the legitimate suffering to a specific, limited time each day. And if possible, overdo in moderation.

    Hugs to all!

    Love,
    Donita

  38. Good Morning Sue. Beautiful card this morning Sue and beautiful embossing. I love watching you work on the videos and I love how tidy and prepared you are. When I start a card the whole work top is a mess. Lol.
Our party went down well. It was lovely so Christmassy. I was presented with a beautiful Christmas plant from the staff at Live At Home Scheme, who are the organisers, and a gift card with money in from a collection all the dancers had for me in appreciation for what I put into the class. I was very touched. Today I have to do it all again for the beginners class ! ! ! This is a smaller and easier class... it is almost a year since this class started and I am so proud of them. Not one of them had done line dancing before and I feel so pleased at how they have done. I get so much pleasure from my two classes... as well as good exercise we have so much fun and always a good laugh. If today is as lovely as yesterday I will be one happy teacher.
    Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.
