  2. Love this card Sue. Lovely glittery Sniwglobe and the frosty pine cones are stunning again.
Congratulations to our lucky winner Jan L, enjoy your card.
Donita, are you okay, your brief post had a touch of sadness yesterday. Thinking of you.
Carmen, hope all us well with you too.
CraftyJo, you take it easy, don't want a setback. I had forgotten that you mentioned before that you ride a motorcycle. Brave you, I prefer 4 wheels. You will soon be out there having your wind theapy.
But of a sad day for me at work yesterday. My beautiful kind gentle friend left yesterday, she has decided she couldn't take anymore even though she will be financially struggling a little for another two years before her pension kicks in.. We will be meeting for coffee sometime and will keep in touch but I will miss her lovely smile each day.
Paw print, you are going to be busy girl, there will be sparks coming off your die cutting machine, good luck.
Elaine, hooe your laptop keeps going. Love to you and the family.
Hugs to all, especially all poorly and missing friends.

  14. Hi Sue. What an adorable sample and tutorial, if there's one thing I love other than your dies, it's watching you put a sample together it's so lovely and relaxing. I really really am sad that finances have stopped me from investing these dies as I know just how much they would be loved and appreciated at market by those daft enough to leave their warm comfortable homes to walk round a country park when it's freezing cold lol. Next market after tomorrow is 17th Dec so it's all or nothing as far as festive sales go. Next year I'll have these dies plus another couple to eek up my kiddos cards, so something different both for me to work on and for people to see.
Congratulations Jan, nothing nicer than receiving a Sue sample to cheer you up - enjoy.
    Sending love and hugs xxx

Pam echoing your comments today. How sad your friend has decided to leave. I know financially it can be a struggle but sometimes when you're not working you save money, not only on petrol parking and clothes but you cook differently because you have more time so don't buy preprepaired foods. I'm sure not having all the stress will help her too. It's a shame for you though but I know you will keep in touch with her. Sending hugs xxx

  57. Dear Sue and Friends,

I'm itching to order this deer. He could be freed from his snowflakes and flourishes and allowed to leap among the birches.
I already have lots of reindeer. But I love them.

Really enjoyed your video, and the magic you performed. We saw you carefully load a linear embossing folder, then the finished card has swirly embossing. Magic! Probably anyone else who noticed was too polite to mention it. But I see what you mean about how the gilding polish adds to the splendor, and I think the swirly looks better.

I keep posting later and later, then falling asleep while posting. I worked last Sunday, had an intense meeting on my beat Monday, made my sister's 60th birthday card that night, did someone else's duty for two days and put in four extra hours reworking a story I wanted to get right. So I really needed Thanksgiving as a rest, and to make turkey and trimmings leftovers for myself to last through Christmas, I hope.

If I sounded blue, Pam, it was because I tried so hard and went extra miles to do justice to that story, only to have the editor fuss at me for trying to make changes from home on Thanksgiving, when they were readying it for Friday's paper. I was discouraged. Then on Friday, two editors emailed me that it rocked and five readers (so far) contacted me about making donations to the family.

This weekend, with the dishes and essential laundry done, I can concentrate on Christmas cards!

    Congratulations to Jan L!

Condolences, Pam, on losing a bright spot at work

    Enjoy your Weekend!

I have about a dozen cards done but need three times that for Christmas and several special birthdays. Have a weaving background made with favorite team colors ready for one. Thanks, Pam. I just need a little elf helper.
Donita, I am a sucker for deer also. My sister lives on a barrier island with deer everywhere (protected). They are such beautiful animals.
    Well, off to the races.

  68. Hi Sue, this is a lovely shiny and sparkly shaker card that would please just about anyone. I do like the snow globe very much.

Donita – that story obviously touched you deeply and it just shows how conscientious you are that you were amending it on Thanksgiving. Well done to the two editors for giving praise where it was due.
Jan L – Congratulations on being this week’s Wednesday Winner. I am more than a little jealous as you have won a stunning card.

I was a little previous in my comment yesterday as within half an hour of me saying that it wouldn’t settle we had full blown snow that very quickly settled everywhere and I had to sweep almost 2 inches from the car whilst it was still coming down. Luckily today the main roads are clear but the side roads are still very slippery so to everyone else out there with snow – please take care.

Elaine – Pleased that Mary was a little better
Saba – Glad the CT scan result was good. How is your back now?

I struggled to make a b-day card for my mom on Thursday. My hubby made fun of me saying that there are plenty of beautiful cards on the market and he will buy on for his mother in law. As you know, there are days and days... yesterday evening, by the time my hubby got home, the b-day card was almost ready; different design, different colors a totally new card that my hubby love it. I was really pleased with my work. We posted it today. Hope the card won’t get “lost” again and my mom will receive it.

    Hugs to you all,
Still a newbie to Craft / not longer the newest, or the only across the pond Wilsonette
