Hello there my crafty friends! Welcome back to the final post for today. We are ending day four with one of my favourite cards made using the Life Is A Garden die set. Shown here, you can see how lovely this set looks when used with the square Shadow Box die from the Sept. release. All the items in this set have been designed to not only work with the shadow box, but with the previous two sets shown earlier today as well. For those of you that love gardening or that have friends that do, these sets should be right up your alley! Someone asked what a bushel was - it’s an old fashioned weight. Four pecks = one bushel. The baskets were mainly used for selling fruit! I guess you took your basket and when it was full of apples you paid for a bushel of apples! I love old words !!
Pat L - hope you enjoyed your visit to see the poppies - I think it’s lovely that they are being taken around the country. Not everyone could go to London but they did look amazing there. I think they should have kept the display up for a while longer than they did!

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, love this brilliant card and the Life Is A Garden set is going to be a must-have along with the Wooden Garden Cart (or wheelbarrow) to go with my previous ones. I love the rake and other tools but for some reason I am really drawn to the tiny little gloves :-)
ReplyDeleteThere are fireworks going off all around me as I type and although the two girls are in, Pippin (who is really a scaredy-cat that doesn't like noises) is cowering somewhere behind the sheds instead of being safe and warm inside. Maybe if a few more bangers go off it will be enough to send him indoors. I do wish people still stuck to the one night so that you would know when to keep pets indoors all evening. Hope all the other furry friends on here are tucked up safe and sound.

ReplyDeleteWho could resist "Dig In"....that is worth the set alone even if the rake and gloves were not so adorable. I do have the square shadow box on my list. I am trying to get all the "squares" for my collection. I love square cards and if the postage is more, they are worth it.

Pat L, meant to say that I went to a local museum which was an old pit, and they had part of the Tower poppy display there, it was amazing. I hope you've enjoyed it today. Walls painted, woodwork being sanded down ready for Monday. Hazel and Patricia are coming here next Saturday - will it be ready? No, it will be like Steptoe's yard!!!
Dorothy - I drool every time I see that picture of the red shoes, and at my age that's dangerous as they'll put me in a home!
Pawprintzx4 - bushel went the way of the sovereign and farthing!!
Fluffycat - the fireworks are going off here too, and have been for the past couple of weeks! George's brother and sister in law stay in France until the middle of November to miss Bonfire night as their Westie gets so agitated.

Yes, if i want muscles like Popeye:-) Poor little Pippin, do hope he comes inside soon...i’m Having a bit of trouble with Darcey too, last night she wouldn’t go out at her usual time and woke me at 12.40am to go out for the toilet:-( She didn’t come back until 3.30am so ive been running on empty today. Think i’m Going to have the same problem tonight because i can hear the bangers as we speak and that may be putting her off her usual routine....either that or the cold temperature!

This gardening series of dies, is just the ultimate. I love all of them! All the mixing of the sets is just perfect for cards and scrapbooks plus so much more. These sets are amazing! What a great idea and compliments to the designers and Sue and her helpers for making these.
