Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers!  Isn't this one just a perfect card for a friend with a summer birthday?  I started by cutting the Message in a bottle die set bottle aperture in the centre of a piece of coconut white card. I used the matching bottle treat cup shape and added some sand, seashells and one of those cocktail umbrellas and sealed it up by gluing a piece of acetate to the back and allowing it to dry overnight.    I hand cut the shape and sponged some clouds on to another piece of white card, inserted the treat cup through the aperture and covered with the cloudy background piece, taking everything in place.  Using the Hibiscus die set, I cut several flowers and added two larger ones to the bottom of the card and used two smaller ones for the top by the sentiment.  I die cut the shape on the Message in a Bottle die in blue and glued it around the shape on thee top of the card.  Using the Flip Flops, I made a pair of the larger ones out of yellow and pink card and added them to the bottom of the card.  White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Elaine, I'm glad I made you laugh, John knows exactly what I mean. Hope all is well with Andrew and that your SIL is recovering well.
Norah, your posts are a joy to read, you could be a storyteller in a primary school, you would have the children enthralled. Hugs to you lovely lady.
Rang surgery yesterday but no letter from hospital yet, early days I think.
Carmen, hope the Kid is doing well and enjoying being back at work.
Laine and Yvonne, hope you are both starting to feel better, we miss you.
Tracey, you are right of course, youngish age can too have its problems as you well know. I hope you are feeling okay these days.

  5. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a stunning card today, I love the little flip flops, I think they look so cute on here.

Pam I reiterate all you have said, I id look through yesterdays comments this morning, some made me really laugh especially about old age..... ouch.....yes it catches up to all of us, and about the little grandson who loves fruit and nanny's special kisses, it is true they always make you feel better.

It is very hot already here in Kent, been up since 4:00am as could not sleep, the sun is really shinning through into my craft room but once it goes over head it becomes quite cool in here so it is great for crafting in. I have got my ironing to do but that can wait, it is too hot.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  6. Morning Sue and happy Friday. I think anyone that's heading for a special holiday or a special occasion would absolutely adore this, I think it would bring laughter and whoops of delight, it certainly would be a first for them that's a fact. These dies, the whole collection are so much fun, unfortunately I don't own any yet (on the very long list) and I've tried to pick and choose carefully which dies would be useful to show on my market cards but a difficult choice to make. Today's sample is a cute reminder of our long awaited holidays abroad which have now turned into stay-cations but what the heck, it's always hit and miss with our ridiculous weather but at least the beaches are pretty (even from inside a car) ! Lol.
Thank you for a happy sample and making me smile. Love n hugs xxx

  25. Sue, a perfect card for what promises to be another lovely day here, though we could do with some of Pam's rain.
Finally managed to 'entrap' our two Glamorgan (not the friendliest breed) rescued sheep - Rammy and Mama - for shearing with the help of 7 neighbours yesterday, including 4 nimble teenagers. Never had a problem before but they really didn't want to know this year, and it's a big field. Usually they just walk into the containment area for some yummy ewe nuts and we pull the gate shut with rope. Neither guile nor bribery worked. So it's quite a relief for them - and us!! Also feet trimmed, wormed and fly treated now. Met a shepherd with a 'dodgy' working collie at the vets and she was on standby if all else failed.
Pam - nice words again and echoing.
Hugs for all, esp Laine and PP.

I don't have any of the dies from this range but I would love to try the flip-flops cut in funky foam just to see if they look as I imagine they would. The miniscule seashells get me every time.

'P' - I now have a vision of you running around a field wielding a pair of shears. Perhaps you should have unleashed Yeti to round them up lol.
