Treasured Friend

Hi blog friends!  I hope you all enjoyed the last eight days of blog posts! I am sorry to say that we are back to one a day again for awhile, but I found this lovely easel card hiding in one of my files and I thought I would share it with you!  I am hoping it will be a nice break from all those Christmas cards! LOL  I started with milk card and embossed a piece with the Provencale Lace folder for texture.  I added it to a prefolded piece for the top part of my easel. I cut the Geneva outer die and added in the centre die and backed it with blush card.  I cut a slightly larger oval using the Double Pierced Noble Oval set and seated the Geneva on it.  I used the Bern die to frame the sentiment in the centre.  I cut several of the Exquisite Poppies and added them to the bottom of the Geneva frame with Olive branches as accents.  For the inside of the card, I cut the Atlas Striplet in milk card and backed it with blush and attached it with mounting foam to raise it slightly so it acted as a stopper for the card top to sit against.  I completed the cards with flatback cream pearls as accents.  All for now, Sue x

Pam I reiterate all you have said, and please I just hope those that have only commented in order to go into the draw for a free die are going to continue to support Sue, (you are one of the most hard working designers I have ever come across) and bring her back to top position.

  7. Morning Sue. Treasured friend. The past 8 days were amazing. You've put so much time and work into the new collection - as always. Beautiful, they are all beautiful and this year you've done a few more to see us through the year, now that's what I call value for money. One thing that gets to us that 4 posts a day, over 200 comments left each post, once the launch is over people disappear and if that upsets us that comment and support you every day, then although your heart is too big and kind to get angry, we feel it for you. We know that you think it's extra followers that have been introduced to your dies, but it takes but seconds to leave a short thank you, it upsets a lot of us how numbers drop the day after launch, we think it's rude.
Anyway that's life I suppose and nothing will change. It's been a brilliant 8 days Sue, thank you. As regular followers of Particraft we are proud of you your inspiration and your love of giving the world wonderful tools to work with xxx

  8. Wow. It will seem strange going back to one post a day. It's amazing how quickly you can get used to having four. This card is stunning.

I would feel awful if I only commented at giveaway time but it seems a lot of people are quite happy to do so. I can only say that they are missing out from all the inspiration you give us Sue and also the help and support from others on the blog.

    Thoughts and prayers to all.
    Happy crafting.

  21. Hi Sue,
There may be only one post today but wow, it's a good one! This is so beautiful. It would make a gorgeous wedding card as well. It is so elegant and feminine and I love the milk card with the blush as well.
Thank you for the last eight days - they have been very inspiring. You must be so proud.
Now that the launch is over I will say that we had a fantastic time up in the Moray Firth area of Scotland. As I said before saw the pod of Minky Whales but also dolphins. The Culloden Visitor Centre was really interesting as was Fort George. It is a lovely area to visit and one that we will go back to. Walked 28 miles throughout the week and although my knee was stiff by the end of the day, there were no after effects so that was good. The people were so friendly and the weather ( apart from a couple of little showers was good too.
Went swimming on Wednesday and ditched the floats - way too much hassle using them! Remembered how to do front crawl but it is so tiring to do! Worked up to 3/4 lengths of crawl and then finished off the length on my back - 2 lengths like that and I was goosed!! Managed 12 lengths in total so was quite pleased with myself. Off there again today so am aiming to do full lengths of crawl. Mind you I did get half of the pool up my nose!!!
Hope everyone is ok. I never seem to have time to read through every comment at launch time, there are so many. Love and hugs to you all Alison xx

  35. Oh Sue, quite a relief to be back to normal!! Have loved the launch and all of its temptations, but so happy to give full attention to the daily treat and all the comments. Think many of us would like to see more here on a regular basis but fear that the 'irregulars' are highly unlikely to read what is said, so sadly falling on deaf ears. However, living in hope.
Today's card quite an unusual one for you - don't see many easels. Very pretty and my favourite poppies again so love it. A bird must have fortuitously sown a Papaver Orientalis (looked it up!) huge red poppy with black centre and very frilly petals. Utterly gorgeous. Blessed. Must harvest seeds.

Whew! What a whirlwind we just had! It was fun, but I, too, am glad to get back to normal.

Welcome to those who came for the launch and stayed. I see some new names. For example, I would have remembered Cards2Di4, Or maybe the ones who seem new to me predate me. I haven't been here a whole year yet. November might have been the first launch I witnessed. Anyway, nice to meet you!

Hey! Did you see, only 9 more people and Sue reaches her magic 5,000 followers!

This card really gives us a lot to ponder. Glad you showed us the striplet that keeps the easel from collapsing. I hope that someday, Blush will be able to cross the Atlantic.

Congratulations to Allison for swimming again, and to Kitty for almost feeling like herself again.

  105. Afternoon Sue. WOW It may only be one post today but what a beauty you have give us. This is a stunning card and i love the way you have made it into an easel card. One of my favourite colours is the Blush cardstock and mine is getting very low, i still haven't found another one to match it, i keep hoping CE will bring another one out (fingers crossed). Your christmas launch has gone down a storm with everyone you should be very pround of yourself. I have my top 5 favourites Angel 2017, Gingerbread House, Gingerbread Man, 3D Fireplace and the Three Wise Men but you have made it very difficult as i do love all your Sentiment dies as well as your Finishing Touches. Hope the number of comments keep up as its such a shame to see them go down after a launch. Thank you once again for all your hard work, your stunning cards and the chance of winning a set of your new dies. You are a very generous, talented and inspirational lady who is greatly admired by a lot of people.
    Best Wishes.

  114. Hi Sue,

Today's card is another stunner, nothing out of ordinary since all your cards are so beautiful. Glad to see again the Poppies, the Geneva die and the Atlas Striplet used as a stopper. Clever. I also love the background embossing folder.
This reminds me about all the new EF you used during of the fantastic blog launch. The past 8 days have been a real treat. Thank you, Sue, for a fabulous collection of dies, stunning sample cards and for the inspiration.

I agree with Rosemary P. and others, I do hope people will comment every day and not just for free giveaways.

Rosemary P. – The Kid is feeling better. Thanks for asking. I mentioned yesterday that it is a big chance to visit us next week, when we plan to celebrate June’s B-days, inluding his b-day.

    Happy Friday everyone!

  130. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

I cant quite believe that the launch is over and that we are back to some semblance of normality again....sometimes it can feel as if you are caught in a whirlwind during it so when the wind dies down and the launch comes to an end there is almost a serene calm again on the blog as everyone slows down again and catches breath. I love the launches for their excitement and anticipation but there is also something to be said about the easygoing pace and nature on the blog normally:-)
What a lovely change to have an easel card featured, how refreshing. Nice to see some of your older collections too, it always encourages me to reach for them again....we can sometimes focus too much on the newer ones and the previous favourites are left to gather dust so anything that reminds us of their virtues can only be a good thing. I love the colour palette , it reminds me of ice cream that they used to sell when i was little, yummy! Beautiful composition and use of the dies, thanks for another gorgeous example of your talents Suexxx
Well peeps, I've had a rather active day pampering myself with a Caci facial and blow dry and i am now feeling exhausted! So I'll keep it short and sweet...don't all cheer at once:-)....and just wish all of my blog besties and their long suffering families well:-)
    See you all tomorrow xxx

    Love and crafty hugs

Alison that a tremendous achievement, welll done for keeping at it.
P- you are very lucky, the birds here drop, something very different, usually on clean windows. How is Yeti! Is he now a calm fluff ball.
Lorraine will you please ask your beautician to come up with a different name for your facial, I still conjure up dreadful images every time you say it.

    Love and hugs for all

  140. Hi Sue. I love this beautiful card today !!! A lovely colour combo of milk and blush, and a lovely EF to. I can't believe you have used the Geneva Die from your Swiss Collection as I have been making cards using your Swiss Background and tag dies today. I have not finished it yet but my two cards are going to be Easel cards to, using the Swiss border as the stopper !!! What a coincidence !!! ( The Swiss Collection is one of my favourite of your collections Sue. ) Such beautiful designs. I love all the dies you have used on your card, especially the Poppy dies. They are such classy, elegant looking flowers, just like the rest of your card !!! Thank you for sharing it. Lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x

  144. Thank you Sue for another stunning card. There are now so many of your dies on my wish list
and it will be so difficult to get them in order of preference. I am still quite a newbie to blogging. I don't have a TV owing to a combination of low vision, very low hearing and OLD AGE
but I have managed to bring up some of your presentations on U-tube and they are a fantastic inspiration.

Thank you for a super eight days of 32 posts! Preparing those is a lot of work . Your Christmas Launch is beautiful! Each year I think I won't need any more and sure enough you come up with a whole list of things I'd love to have! Now its decision time! Many many thanks!
Secondly today's card is so pretty . Good to see a mixture of older and newer Dies. A real card too!! Lol!
    Many thanks Sue,

  148. Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Oh this is such a pretty card Sue but boooohoooo you have used the one colour that i loved and can't get anywhere in the blush. Please, please and pretty please ask them to make that colour again as i know that there is an awful lot of us out here that it was just thee perfect shade of pink. Anyway i'll cry at my computer on my own here and keep going about the beauty you have created with the blush and pink card. What a beautiful card for so many occasions and definitely one that would be appreciated by the recipient. The pretty poppies looks so lovely sitting on the bottom of the oval(whey hey i have my double pierced oval set, yippeeee) just finishing it off so nicely. What a great emboss you have achieved with that embossing folder flower, you can see every bit of it's texture shining out. Thank you flower for a lovely, widely versatile card that could be made in bulk, just changing up the flowers for different events.
Love and crafty hugs to all the Wilsonettes
